The First Signs Of Death

Hello lovely people that are for some strange reason reading this chapter! Before you all kill me, I would just like to say that I'm sorry for not posting this chapter sooner :-/ so I've decided that I'm going to post a chapter every Friday! (Saturday if any fellow New Zealanders are reading this) so anyways, here is this week's chapter!

Megan was busy in her room, writing the latest chapter for her story, when she her her mum shout up to her from the front door. 'Emily is here to see you meg!' So she turned of her laptop and went down stairs. She walked out of the front door and looked at her best friend. 'Hi' she said. 'Hi there' Emily replied, trying to hide a huge smile. 'What?' Meg asked, as she checked to see there was no stains on her t-shirt or anything in her teeth. Emily, still grinning, simply said 'Come on, I've got a surprise to show you.' Meg, who was completely confused, started to follow her down the street, until she stopped by a white van...

I heard Meg ask Emily, "Did you get a car?" I chuckled to myself silently, before sneaking around the van and tapping Meg on the shoulder, she turned around and, of course, seemed happy to see me. I was bombarded with millions of questions like what I was doing back in England early, so I told them the whole story (however Emily seemed more concerned about Chloe. AUTHORS NOTE: Emily if you are reading this, don't act like that wouldn't be true -_-)

As we walked to Kim's house, we didn't know that a deadly disease was spreading through out Britain, and there was already a lockdown throughout the country.

As we surprised Kim, and also told her why I was here, we all went to town like we used to, but after about 2 hours or so, we heard a siren of some sort. "Everyone!" A voice said from the huge van the siren was attached to. "Everyone! Please come out with your hands up! If anyone tries to run, they will be shot on sight" I looked at my 3 friends. "Shit. What the hell is this?" Emily said. Meg shot her a look that said shut-the-hell-up-or-we're-gonna-die kinda of look, while we slowly started to look around for somewhere to hide. I looked around and saw the zip wire, which had a big enough gap for 4 teenaged girls to hide in, while being small enough to not be seen in. Luckily, the people who were slowly making their way towards the van had not seen us, so we could hide there and not be noticed. It was dirty and had sweet wrappers and drink can underneath, but at least we could watch the situation without being harmed. "What's going on?" Kim asked, nervously. This worried me slightly. Since I had not been in the UK for 2 years or so, I had thought this must of happened before. That this was fairly normal or expected now or something. As we laid there on our bellies, I saw something out of my eye that had truly terrified me, to the point of being unable to speak.

Also, yes, I know these are short, but in the next chapter, the zambies are coming! So anyways TTFN! --Nicole x
