SAMANTHA'S POV
I stretched myself to relieve my sore muscles as I finally finished my assignments of the day. I put the stuffs inside my bag neatly and flopped onto my bed as I stared at the ceiling.
Oh, how forgetful of me. I forgotten to introduce myself to you. My name is Samantha Ong or Sam. I have long straight brown hair, a pair of hazel brown eyes and pale white skin. I can speak in three languages, English, Chinese, Korean. I'm a Singaporean and I'm 17 this year. I'm in my first year of Singapore Junior College.
Just when I finished packing my school bag, my mum called me, "Sam, Can you come out for a moment?"
I went to the living room and saw my dad and mum sitting on a sofa. My mum gestured me to sit on the sofa opposite them and I did what I was told.
"Sam, we're migrating to Seoul." My Dad told me.
Huh?! What? Why? How?
Questions kept popping out in my mind.
"How? Why?"
"My company decided to send me there, and we will be leaving in a week."
"I-I don't want to leave here Dad."
"We didn't want to either, but your father have no choice." my mum gazed at me sadly.
"I understand. " I stood up, returned to my room without uttering any more words.
I sat on my bed and took my phone and called my best friend, Jasmine, or What she preferred to be called, Jas.
"Heyhey, what's up buddy?"
"Hey Jas."
"Why do you sound so sad?"
"I have to tell you something." I sighed.
"Spill it out!"
I started explaining that I was going to migrate to Seoul in a week and the reason why.
She didn't utter a word.
"I'm really sorry." I apologized.
"Why are you apologizing for? It's isn't your fault that you're migrating right? It's because of your father's work right? I understand~"
Her words sounds convincing enough to say that she's not sad but I know deep down she was.
We talked for a long time and hanged up at 2am. I plugged in the charger in my phone and fell asleep.
~~~~~
*RIIINNNNGGGG*
5.30am, Time to go to school.
I dragged myself into the bathroom and did my morning routine. After finishing my breakfast, I hurried myself to the school. I arrived at around 6.35am. I put my bag at my seat and I walked around the school. School doesn't starts till 7am.
I want to remember every tints and bits of the school before I leave. The school was informed about me migrating in a week and when I stepped back into the class everyone bombarded me with hugs. "Sam! I'm gonna miss you so much!" Karen, one of my close friend hugged me. "Hey, I'm still going to be here for a week! I'm not leaving the next day so don't make the sad mood here " I smiled.
Fast Forward to School Dismissal
*RINGGGGGG~~*
School dismissal, 2pm.
Jas and I spent the rest of the day enjoying each other's presence.
I really don't want to leave.
But do i have a choice?
*sigh*
Fast forward to a week later
We are at Changi Airport waiting for our flight to be announced. Jas was here too, she said she wanted to send me off.
"Paging for all passengers for Flight SG506 to South Korea, Seoul. Please proceed to Gate 3 and get ready to boarding. Thank you."
That's it.
I'm leaving soon.
But I don't want to.
"I guess I have to say goodbye, Sam." Jas hugged me.
"Yeah, I won't forget you, you are my best friend forever!" I hugged her back tightly.
She let go of the hug and wiped her forming tears, "If i'm going Seoul, remember to tour me around!"
"Sure, that will be a promise." I smiled.
"Remember, not matter how far is the distance between us, even the strongest waves can't break our friendship." Jas ruffled my hair.
She also bid my parents goodbye and hugged me the last time.
"Till next time, my friend."
"Till next time." I smiled.
Bye Singapore, I will miss you a lot.
