CHAPTER 10

SAMANTHA'S POV

Our group decided to go to the beach we went yesterday to relax around since D.O's ankle was injuried.

Chen sure knows how to troll around by tapping us by the shoulders but end up pretending that it wasn't him who tapped us.

"Guys let's play a game! The loser needs to get into the water!" BaekHyun grinned. W-What? I didn't bring any extra clothes!

"We didn't bring any dry clothes to change into. What will the loser dry or change himself or herself into?" I asked.

"I have lots of towels here! I came here well prepared! The loser can dry with this!" Chen showed me rows of towels folded neatly inside his jacket. "Alright, D.O can be exempted since he's injured." BaekHyun clapped his hands.

"I ain't playing this sh*t." Kai turned away coldly, attempting to escape but BaekHyun caught his shirt tightly. "Nah, you're playing this! Unless you tell me you're a coward, even Sam has agreed to play! " He teased.

"I ain't a coward. Start the game." He glared. "Let's play rock, paper, scissors!" BaekHyun cheered happily.

We crowded around and started the game with D.O. as the judge. "Rock, Paper, Scissors!" We put our hands. Chen beat all of us with a rock and us as scissors. "Yay~" Chen jumped around happily with his fist up.

We started again and Kai was the only one who put out paper while BaekHyun and I with scissors. All of us cheered while Kai froze with his paper.

We hi-fived each other and laughed. "Why did I put this out?" Kai murmured. Chen helped him removing his shoes, socks and jacket.

We accompanied him walking to the blue seawater and BaekHyun shoved him into the water. "YAH!" He stood up after meeting with the shallow seawater. "Go deeper~ " He shooed him away and Kai swam to a deeper part of the water. Well, he lost the game so he can't do anything but to obey the command.

What I didn't realise was Chen creeping up behind me, giving me a shove and the water welcomed me.

*Inserts splashing sound *

"CHEN?!" I shot him a glare with my whole body wet and he gave me his famous grin. A laughter erupted behind me and I shot him a straight look. "What's so funny?" I glared. "You!" And he goes laughing while slapping his knees.

"YAH! BYUN BAEKHYUN! " I pushed him to the waters and he had the most surprised look I ever seen. "OMO~ HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Chen laughed while D.O. had the blank look.

SAMANTHA'S POV

"Yah! Chen, help me avenge!" BaekHyun tried to run in the water but he look like a chicken running in the water instead. I swiftly swam to the deeper part of the ocean before he could catch me.

I remained floating in the water as I look at BaekHyun trying to run into the water but suddenly, my leg became numb and I couldn't stay floating to breathe in the oxygen.

I struggled and struggled to swim to the surface for oxygen but soon, I sank into the water as I lose conscious. "SAM!" Was the last thing I heard before darkness overcame me.

KAI'S POV

I swam to other side of the beach and walked up to the shore. I laid down on the sand, catching my breath as I swam just now. The incident flashed across my mind again, causing me to sit up with wide eyes.

"Argh, screw this. " I held my head as the memories I don't want replayed in my mind again.

I decided to walk back to where others we're when I heard one of them shouted, "SAM!" I spun my head to see BaekHyun pointing to a direction where I supposed Sam was and her hand was the last visible body part I could see before disappearing next.

I quickly ran and jumped in the sea and swam beside her. I was able to pull her up to the surface before she went down any deeper. "Idiot!" I called her when I caught her but she remained unconscious.

Using one arm to hold her, I used my another arm to swim to the shore as BaekHyun came to help.

I carried her bridal style and laid her carefully on the shore with her head on my lap. "Sam? Sam?" D.O. hyung tapped her cheeks but she remained unconscious. He repeated the same process and she finally groaned a bit with her eyebrows frowned.

She started coughing out water as I helped her up to a sitting position and patted her back. "Are you okay?" BaekHyun asked.

"W-water..." She spoke, her voice was barely audible but I managed to hear it. "Mwo?" The rest couldn't hear. "She needs water." I repeated and Chen dashed towards the bench to get his waterbottle.

"Here!" Chen hands out his waterbottle and I held the waterbottle up to her lips as she swallowed the water. Chen wrapped her up in one of the towel he had and hands BaekHyun and me one each too.

He helped Sam walked back to the hotel to rest along with BaekHyun beside, leaving D.O. hyung and me behind. "I never knew you could swim that fast. Since when could you swim that fast?" Hyung asked.

"Enough said, I have no idea too." I walked away, catching up those who walked first.

"Yah Kai! Help KyungSoo with his walking! Don't abandon him behind!" BaekHyun shouted at me. I groaned in protest but still waited for D.O. to catch up with me before walking back to the hotel with him.

BAEKHYUN'S POV

I was trying to catch the mischievous Sam who caused me to be soaked from head to toe as I tried running in the water with the rest laughing at my failure. I looked at Sam and was about to shout that it's dangerous for her to be at such deep part is the water when she started struggling. She kept coming up for air but went into the water again. "SAM!" I pointed at the direction with my face pale.

I was about jump into the water to save her when I spotted Kai already there with her unconscious in one arm while he uses another arm to swim back to the shore as I helped.

He carried her bridal style and laid her carefully on the shore with her head on his lap. "Sam? Sam?" D.O. tapped her cheeks but she remained unconscious. "Please be okay." I prayed silently.  He repeated the same process and she finally groaned a bit with her eyebrows frowned.

She started coughing out water as Kai helped her up to a sitting position and patted her back. "Are you okay?" I asked.

She murmured something that write couldn't hear. "Mwo?"

"She needs water." Kai said and Chen dashed towards the bench to get his waterbottle.

"Here!" Chen hands out his waterbottle and he held the waterbottle up to her lips as she swallowed the water. Chen wrapped her up in one of the towel he had and hands Kai and me one each.

Chen helped Sam walked back to the hotel to rest along with me beside them assisting, leaving D.O. and Kai behind. Since when Kai knows how to swim that fast? I spun around to looked at them to see Kai walking far behind us with D.O. limping to catch us up.

"Yah Kai! Help KyungSoo with his walking! Don't abandon him behind!" I shouted and he groaned in protest.
