It's been a week since I moved into my dorm. It seems as if I graduated yesterday, when in reality it's only been like three months. I decided going to classes only three days a week would be very much less stressful, and hopefully I was right. My new roommate, Alana, is actually pretty decent, so far at least. With just these few days of knowing her, I've learned that she and I have many things in common; we clicked pretty quick.
I haven't really socialized with anybody in my classes yet, besides my professors. With it being saturday, I had nothing to do. It's currently 11:30 in the morning, and I'm getting a bit hungry, so I decided to drive to Darla's, a cute local retro diner which was only a five minute drive from the campus.
I got up out of bed and hastily changed into a clean pair of black leggings and a white crop top. I threw on my sneakers, grabbed my keys and went out the door.
I smiled and said brief 'hellos' to the few people I saw in the dorm hallways as I was in my way towards the elevator; I lived on the third floor and was thankful I didn't have to trudge down the three flights of stairs, as I wasn't very keen on walking more than I had to.
After the elevator doors opened,I pressed the button labeled '1' and the door then closed and started moving down. As the elevator went down I started humming the tune of of song that had gotten stuck in my head recently, and cursed as I actually hated that song. Before I knew it elevator doors slid open, and I was out the doors in a flash.

I sighed in relief as I stepped into the air conditioned family restaurant; summers in Orlando tend to get extremely hot."Hi," I was greeted by a middle-aged blonde woman with a sweet cheery-lipped smile and kind eyes.
"table for one I'm assuming?" I smiled kindly at the woman and nodded my head. "Yes ma'm.'"
The woman smiled again, and grabbed a menu. She motioned for me to follow her and lead me to a red booth that was fairly close to the front doors. As I sat down the woman placed the menu on the table and told me that she would be with me shortly to take my order.
"Thank you." I smiled politely.
"No problem, sugar." The hostess replied as she walked back to the front.
After skimming through the menu for a few minutes, I decided on ordering a burger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake.
A few moments had passed, and Darla, the sweet hostess, brought me my food.
"Enjoy." She said with a close-lipped smile as she walked away.
As soon as she walked away I instantly picked up a fry and raised it up to my mouth, chomping on it. It was perfectly crispy, just the way I liked.
Right as I took a sip of my chocolate milkshake the doors to the restaurant opened.
"Jason, sweetheart! How are you dear?" I heard Darla exclaim.
The stranger chuckled in amusement.
"I'm doing great, Darla, how about you?" Jason's voice was surprisingly attractive and smooth, and he sounded like he was around my age, but I didn't even bother turning around to see what he looked like.
As I continued to eat and scroll through my instagram feed, I heard them converse for a few more minutes before she asked him if he wanted his usual. He replied with a polite 'Yes, please.' And she told him to sit where ever he pleased.
I silently prayed in my head that he wouldn't sit anywhere near me, mostly because I had a feeling he was going to be attractive and it'll make me nervous, but also because I honestly just wanted to be left alone.
