You soon fluttered your eyes open as you began to awake from your deep sleep. You haven't sleept so deeply in a very, very long time. Until something hit you as you looked around. You were in a completely different area, in a completely different bed, with a completely different environment. You blinked a bit to make sure you weren't dreaming as you rubbed your eyes in the process.
You checked your face, making sure the bandages were still wrapped around you, and they still were, but you felt a razor sharp pain flow through your body as you began to try to stand. The pain mostly shot through your stomach as you let out a small groan. You slid your shirt up a bit and saw a massive purple bruise on your stomach and a bit on your ribs. You touched it a bit and realized it had been throbbing as you winced in pain.
You pulled your shirt down and went to look for your bag. But couldn't find it. You went into full panic mode, your bag had Superior in it. Despite the pain, you stood up any ways and went to go leave, until you passed by a mirror and realized your attire.
The bandages around your face only revealed your nose, eyes, and mouth. Making you look almost like a silent hill nurse. You wore a different shirt, it was like the one that the two guys wore when they rescued you from your abusive parents. You also wore short shorts that looked to have been cut off around the legs. And you also wore a big, baggy jacket. It was black with white on the sleeves and a black zigzagging steak going down the white.
You soon snapped from looking at your attire and peered out from the door of the room you were in. You saw that you were in a large mansion, but it was messy with large different colored paint splatters along the carpeting of the floor.
It was a pretty messy place, but it was better than nothing.
You walked out of the room and walked down the stairs to your left to see if anyone was there. No one. You then walked back up the stairs and saw a door at the very end of the pathway. You cocked your head a bit as you walked to it, only to hear people talking behind it. One person had a bit of a high pitch voice and sounded rather angry. While another one had a deeper voice and sounded calm.
You held your breath and knocked on the door. "Who's there?!" Said the one with the high pitch and angry voice. You flinched at her tone and said, "I-I just wanted to-" you were interrupted by the door flying open. A girl with slightly tanned skin appeared. Her hair was Yellow and pink and in four different pigtails. She also wore an outfit similar to your defenders from last night.
"I-I.. uhm..." you mumbled, intimidated by her angry aurora. "Well, spit it out, what do you want??" She asked again, sounding angrier. "Plumeria, calm down!" You heard the person with the deeper voice call to her. You saw the deep voiced person walk behind the girl presumed to be Plumeria. He was taller, wore a white shirt, black jeans with white X's on the bottom of them. He also had fluffy-looking white hair and long with a crazy-looking pair of yellow glasses that rested a top of his head.
"You'll have to get over her being around, just get used to it." He said in an irritated tone as he motioned for you to follow him. "If you're looking for your bag with your Pokémon, it's in here, just follow me." He said as he walked away and you followed behind him, carefully squeezing past Plumeria.
"Plumeria, go out there and help the grunts with Gladion." He said as Plumeria glared at you then nodded and left.
"So, I understand that my Grunts have rescued you last night, correct?" The taller male asked as you nodded carefully. He nodded and chuckled softly. "Well, my name is Guzma, the boss of this group. It's nice to have you become a part of our family!" He said as he smiled softly. You gave him a confused look from his statement.
"E-Excuse me?" You asked as Guzma pulled your bag from behind him. "You heard me, you're going to be one of team skull now!" He said as he held onto your bag, refusing to give it back. "B-But I just got here! What about my family and friends?" You asked as you remembered what happened from last night with your parents. You honestly weren't sure why you were asking about them, they treated you horribly. Plus you didn't really have any friends, nor did you bother to really make any once you reached Alola because of your parents.
Guzma looked at you as you held your hands on your stomach. "Well, unless you want your Superior sold, than I'd highly suggest you stay here and become one of us." He said as he pulled out Superiors poke ball. Your eyes widened slightly as Guzma held onto Superiors poke ball. "I-I'll stay!" You said wth no hesitation. "I don't mind staying here, actually... I don't want to go back home." You told him as your eyes began to slightly tear up.
Guzma noticed this and began to grow worried. "What happened back there that made my Grunts want to take you in?" He asked as worry laced his tone. Guzma handed back your bag and Superiors Poke ball as you sat there and placed your hand on your bandages. Guzma sighed, "Well, if you're going to be one of us now, you have to take off those bandages so we can know what you look like and know who you are."
Your eyes widened as you shook your head quickly. "But why? I bet you're beautiful under those bandages!" Guzma said with a slight blush and you blushed majorly, but Guzma couldn't see it cause of the bandages.
"A-Are you sure?..." you asked carefully. Guzma nodded. You sighed as you slowly began to unwrap the bandages around your face. Guzma's eyes widened at how you looked. You had a left black eye and your cheeks were bruised as your lip was busted and had dry blood covering it from where you never cleaned it up.
Guzma furrowed his eyebrows a bit. "Who did this to you?" He said in a very menacing and angry tone. "I-It was my parents... ever since I got here to Alola, they've been taking all of their anger out on me. And it just..." you stopped saying as you felt yourself tear up and put your hands over your eyes and began to wipe your tears away. "I-I'm so sorry you have to see me cry. I probably look really weak to you now." You said with a slight chuckle as Guzma pulled you over with him to a seat as you two sat there together. Guzma pulled you into a gentle hug. "You don't look weak. When you cry, it shows how strong you've been. So never say that you're weak again." He said as he rocked you back and forth as you grew into a quiet sob.
"I never want to go back there again..." you mumbled. You heard Guzma sigh contently by your statement. "Don't worry," he said softly, "you'll never have to go back there again. You have me and team skull as your family now, so you'll never feel alone or threatened. Alright?" You nodded happily and hugged Guzma tightly. "Th-Thank you for comforting me. I really needed it." You said as you two parted. "It's no problem." Guzma said happily.
"Also, Guzma? Where are my clothes at?" You asked as he shrugged. "Not sure," he said, "you're one of us now, so we had to put you into some form of team skull attire. And your other clothes had blood on them, and we weren't going to let you have bloody clothes on." He said with a slight shrug. "And we never got your name! What's your name?" Guzma asked as you realized you never told him your name. "My name is (Y/n)." You said as Guzma smiled. "That's a pretty name you have there, Shorty." He teased as you blushed slightly. Until you realized he was taller than you.
"I-I'll go put my bandages back on." You said in slight embarrassment as you picked up your bag, Superior's Poke ball, and your bandages. As you were about to leave, you heard Guzma say, "And if you want you can wear my jacket a bit longer. But I will need it back, it can get a little nippy in here."
You blushed a bit when you found out you were wearing Guzma's jacket. You darted back to the room you came out of, still blushing from what Guzma said.
You felt you were going to be much, much happier here.
