"quickly open up, it's freezing out here" kyungsoo whines as he wraps his coat tighter around his freezing body, impatiently waiting for sehun to let him inside his own house.

"uh- yeah, sorry" sehun mutters as he presses the "open" button. it's all in your head, sehun. you didn't do anything wrong. he repeatedly whispers to himself as he gazes at the door knob. wait, what happened to min-

only a second passes before the door is swung open, revealing a shivering minseok. sehun feels taken aback, his eyebrows instantly furrowing at the absence of kyungsoo.

"i almost froze to de-" minseok speaks as he quickly steps inside but sehun cuts him off before he has the chance to finish.

"where's kyungsoo?" he asks as his eyes scan the empty hallway that leads to the escalators. "i thought he was coming up"

"oh, you invited him to your house too?" minseok asks as he removes his coat and carelessly throws it on the couch.

"my house? this is ky-" sehun begins but he soon feels his tongue go numb as he takes in his surroundings. the plain white walls and steep, wooden stairs look very much like his own house's. "how the" he whispers to himself as he glances around the room in distress.

"okay" minseok chuckles awkwardly as he plops down onto the couch, his eyes immediately landing on his phone's screen. the sound of dripping water fills sehun's ears, the thought of jongin creeping back into the boy's head.

"h-hold on, i'll go check something upstairs" he stutters, earning a nonchalant nod from his friend before springing up the stairs. his feet drag him towards the bathroom, his heart beat rapidly increasing with every step.

his feet stop right in front the bathroom door, where the dripping sound is most evident. sucking in his breath, sehun reaches for the door knob but before his fingers can even come in contact with the cold metal, someone taps him on the shoulder. frantically jerking his head around, he comes face to face with a confused minseok.

immediately, sehun's clutches the door knob tightly, silently praying to god that minseok won't notice that he's hiding something.

"i thought i heard you calling for me" the shorter boy explains, one of his eyebrows raised in question, making sehun continuously shake his head in objection.

"please move then, i need to go to the bathroom" minseok goes to softly push sehun out of his way but instead, he feels his body being flung to the other side of the room. sehun gapes at the baffled boy, noticing how the look in his eyes has completely changed to fearful now.

"y-you could just tell me if you wanted to go first" minseok nervously mumbles as he tries to push himself off the floor, but only yelps due to the overpowering pain instead.

only now releasing his hold around the door knob, sehun rushes towards minseok's side to help him up.

"it's o-" minseok opens his mouth to reassure sehun that he's alright but his breath comes out hitched and faint sounds of cries begin to pour out of his mouth.

"are you okay?" sehun asks in a concerned tone as he anxiously watches his friend struggle to catch his breath, his skin turning a pale shade of white.

sehun feels as if the blood supply in his arms has been cut off by the strong holds that are gripping his wrists. looking down to see what it is, he realizes that it's a pair of hands that belong to minseok.

"minseo-" he attempts to call out but he feels his breath being sucked out of his lungs the second that his eyes land on his own hands. they are tightly wrapped around minseok's neck, his knuckles and fingernails paler than ever.

he only now realizes why minseok's voice has been coming out hitched, quickly releasing his grasp around his poor friend's neck.

"m-minseok?" he lets out a soft cry as he nudges the boy's shoulder but it's too late. minseok's chest is resting down and his eyes are gazing into those of sehun's.
