School?

The Party

       It was 7:15-ish and people had started showing up. First to arrive were Sam and Andrew, shortly followed by the rest of Sam's friends. And eventually, the room started to fill with tons of people.

Daiquansworld: Jake?!

Daiquansworld: Jacob where'd you go?!

Daiquansworld: Answer!!!

TeamJacob: I'm talking to Sam by the drinks chill

Daiquansworld: Dude I think we need better music

TeamJacob: why?

Daiquansworld: everyone looks bored af

TeamJacob: alright fine

       Jake switched the playlist to more newer music and a lot less slower songs. Closer by the Chainsmokers and Halsey came on, and a few people perked up. Jake looked over at DQ and mouthed "Happy?". He nodded and gave Jake a thumbs up.

"Omg look to the left" DQ yelled at Raelyn and Elizabeth. The party has been going on for a little while and he just saw someone.

"Mm gurl, he cute" Olivia said, walking up to them.

"I KNOW!" DQ said, still staring.

"Talk to him" Lizzy said, giving him a nudge.

"Oh my gosh should I? Ah haha" DQ laughed, but seemed just a little bit nervous.

"Dai- Quan it is a hot boy that YOU invited to YOUR party, just say Hi" Rae pointed out.

       DQ got his sassy confidence back as he walked over and slid into the boy's side playfully. The boy had been standing against the wall with his arms crossed, looking away with his blue eyes. He pushed back a piece of his blonde curly hair and looked down at DQ from his 6'2" height.

"Hey, I'm Dai-Quan, what's your name hot stuff?" DQ said extra confident.

"Nicholas" he responded.

"Well, nice to meet you Nick-"

"No! Not 'Nick' Nicholas!" The boy snapped.

"Alright... anyway. Are you having fun- Nicholas?" DQ asked. The boy just nodded looking away. "You want a drink?"

"No" Nicholas responded blandly.

"Ok, well, I'll  see ya around" DQ said with a cute voice, swaying his hips as he walked away. "Not worth it and probs a homophobe" he reported back to his friends. They all laughed and continued enjoying their party.

"Please just dance with me? Just one song?" Sam was begging Andrew to move away from the table for just a few minutes.

"I just don't want to Sammy. You can dance with someone else, I won't mind" he responded.

"But I want to spend time with you, babe." Andrew was too shy and did not want to make a fool of himself in front of the ENTIRE school. He couldn't dance anyway, so what's the point? Then the song Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani came on. Sam looked at Andrew with wide eyes and a serious expression, still holding his hands, wanting to pull him onto the dance floor. Dai-Quan and Dan came up to Sam's sides and looked at him with a smirk. The three of them started singing and moved out to the center of the room.
       They all started going to town, with floor drops, snaps, spins, and a couple dabs just to be funny. The song ended and Sam walked back to his boyfriend, who was laughing and clapping, happy for him.

"I wish you had joined us" Sam said with a pout.

"I would've just slowed you down"

"It still would have been more fun" Sam complained, then proceeded to kiss Andrew's cheek.

"So, you uh, having fun?" Jake asked Raelyn over the music. They had been sitting next to each other alone for a few minutes.

"Yeah, are you?" She questioned back.

"Um yeah sure"

"Something wrong?" Rae asked concerned.

"No I'm just kinda ... nervous" Jake responded.

"About what?"

"Oh y'know..." Jake trailed off and muttered "Us."

Rae somehow heard him and said, "Well, you don't have to be"

"Huh, w-why not?" Jake stuttered quickly.

"Because I like you Jacob."

       Jake's eyes widened in shock and then, as if they could get any larger, widened some more when Rae leaned over and pecked his lips quickly. Jacob just sat there, shocked and lost for words. Rae giggled.

"I'm gonna get a drink, want anything?" She asked while standing up.

       Jake just barely managed to shake his head no and stared at the floor. Rae walked away, as he place his elbows on his knees and held his temples with his hands. DQ, Elizabeth, and Olivia walked over and all pat him on the back, laughing. Jake looked up with the biggest smile on his face. He stood up and ran over to Rae, grabbing her face and kissing her again, longer this time. They both pulled apart, smiling.

"Raelyn, will you be my girlfriend?" Jacob asked her.

"Yes" Rae nodded quickly and hugged her new boyfriend, happy.

       Their hands eventually found each other and their fingers laced together. Rae and Jake looked down to see Jacob's hand was glowing white.

This chapter was a lot of fun to write, I wish I had more ideas to make it longer but oh whale again. And if you couldn't tell, love is just the emotion that helps Jacob focus on lighting his hand and casting spells.
