Third person's POV
It is October 31st, a day where many people dress in costumes and go out to ask for candy or go to parties in the night. And on this day, a certain couple, named Toby and Natalie, decided to stay in their apartment and simply enjoy each others company while watching horror movies. But what we didn't know was that Natalie had a plan on keeping trick or treaters away from her house so they won't disturb her peace with her boyfriend that day.

Natalie's POV
I was out on my daily run in the morning and I was so excited for the evening because today is the only day that I'm allowed to scare the living shit outta little kids, especially since today was Halloween. I've been planning out on how to scare those little brats for the whole month and nobody knows about my plan, not even Toby. Ya' see, since the last two years that I've been with Toby, the little snots have been knocking on our door asking for god damn candy or just pull a lame prank and I never got to enjoy my time with Toby. But this year, I'mma make sure that they don't come knock on our door this year. I haven't put my plan on a go yet because I need to do it while Toby's asleep. Huh, now that I think about it, he'll be asleep until 5 in the afternoon because he was working pretty late yesterday. Well when he wakes up I'll make him breakfast or lunch, whatever.

1 hour later
Ah, I'm finally home. Man was that a good run. I should probably put the decorations up first then take a shower and change. I walk to the closet in our living room and take out the decorations and head to the door. I open the door and set the things down. After about 6 minutes of decorating, I heard a familiar voice say "Sup bitch." I look behind me and see no other than my friend Jeff.

Jeff lives here in the complex but I hardly see him since he leaves most of the time and doesn't come back until maybe a month passes. Probably just to pay rent.

"Sup asshole. Where have you been?" "Somewhere called 'none of your damn business'. Why? Did you miss me?" He said with a smug look on his face. God I just wanna punch his face so bad right now. "You fucking wish I did." I said in a low and harsh tone. He gives me an irritated look but then quickly changes it and says "So, what'cha doing?" "Decorating, since the little brats will be here soon." He looks at the decorations that I put up so far and said "Wow, that looks like shit" "Oh, and you think you can do better than me?" "Yes, I do think I can do better than you. Move aside you fucking flat board and let the master show you how its done".

An hour of decorating, Jeff getting whacked on the head and Natalie taking a quick shower, later
"And, done. See, it looks better than what you were going to do" "Well I have to hand it to you, it is good."

Jeff had decorated the door and walls around it and had splattered fake blood everywhere, a knife stuck on the door and a hatchet on the wall, a doll hand sticking out from under the door, children handprints on the wall, that made it seem that we dragged a child inside the house and to top it off, there's a massage on the wall written in blood that says "come near here, and you'll be next". I also see that he had connected the small speakers inside the house so when the kids come, they'll hear blood curling screams coming from inside the house. But what I wanna know is how did he get those handprints. So, I asked him.

"Where the hell did you get these and prints?" "You know that little girl Sally?" "Yeah, she's the landlord's daughter." "Well, she was playing around here not to long ago and I asked her if she can put her handprints on the wall and if I can have her doll, to which she said yes." "Wait those hands sticking out of the door is from her doll, and she let you have it?" "Well I told her that I would buy her a new one." "Are you, is the question." "Yes I am, I don't break promises." I gave him a look that said 'sure' and he just lightly pushed me while saying "I do".

Time skip to the afternoon
Jeff had left after he helped me decorate and bid his goodbyes to me. Toby had ended up waking up after Jeff left. But enough about that, it's 6 pm and the kids we're coming soon. Toby was on the couch playing with our dog Zenzi, who has really grown up over the past months. I walked out of the kitchen with a bunch of snacks such as popcorn, ice cream, milk and white chocolate dipping sauce, etc. I set down the things and sat next to Toby.

"So which movie so you want to see first?" "Um, why don't we watch Child's play?" "Okay.". Toby got up and inserted the disc inside the DVD player. While he was doing that I out the volume on TV loud so he wouldn't hear the speakers that had the screams playing. He sat back down next to me and put his arm around me. I lay my head on his chest and watched the movie.

It's been two hours and so far not a single knock had been heard. Toby noticed this and said "I wonder where all the kids are. They haven't knocked on the door yet." After hearing him say that, I resisted the smile wanting to appear on my face and say "I guess they went to the other houses where they give out the best candies." "Yeah, I guess your right. But wouldn't there at least be some kids to come and get candy here. I mean, look at all the candy that we have. What are we going to do with all of it?". He looked at me for a response and I just shrugged, really not knowing what we're going to do with the candy. He sighed and said "Well we might as well just keep on watching movies since I'm not really tired.". And that's exactly what we did.

The next morning
I woke up at ten in the morning and I walked out of my room and saw Toby outside our apartment, looking at the decorations from last night. Hehe, well I guess he found out.

Christ all mighty, that took longer than expected (two days). Well here is the first late chapters that I owe you guys and I hope you enjoyed it, peace. ✌
