Kageyama watched a grin spread across Hinata's face and he stared at his red hand in wonder. He had spiked a crazy ball once again, and of course they had done this a hundred times but it never got old.
Right now it was just the two of them in the gym, it was a Saturday and Hinata had begged the setter too waste his relax time to play more volleyball, though in all honesty Kageyama didn't mind too much.
The intimidating one sighed and tucked the volleyball under his arm "are we done yet, it's so hot in here" he said. Hinata pouted and clasped his hands together "one more? Pleeease?" Kageyama rolled his eyes "you said that the last ten times" Hinata's bottom lip quivered at the taller males words.
Kageyama sighed once more and turned his head to the side and grumbled "fine" Hinata grinned and jumped up, his eyes seemingly glowing "thank you, thank you, thank you" he chanted before skipping away to do do a run up.
As Kageyama tossed Hinata ran up and smacked it, when his feet touched the ground he let out a yelp and fell sidewards. Groaning in pain he sat up and gripped his ankle, Kageyama ran over and knelt in front of him. Pulling the short males hands away form his injury Tobio inspected it, his ankle was swelling, as he put slight pressure on it Hinata winced "you're sprained it, idiot, now you can't play volleyball until it heals".
At the news Hinata was devastated "calm down, it will heal in a few days" Kageyama rolled his eyes. Shoyou looked down at his swollen ankle in sadness "i won't be able to play?" he whispered, Kageyama glanced at the sullen short stack and sighed like he always did.
Hesitantly he placed a hand on the orange haired boys head, and ruffled his hair. Hinata looked up at the irritated male in shock, he never showed this kind of affection.
Kageyama was about to stand when Hinata grabbed the hand that was on his head to stop the setter. With a forceful tug Kageyama ended on his knees once more face inches away from Hinata's own.
A red crept up Tobio's neck until it engulfed his whole face including his ears, he was about to pull away when Hinata lock his arms around Kageyama's head keeping him in place "h-hey, what are you doing dumb*ss?" he questioned.
Hinata didn't reply his face rather blank except for the light pink tint on his cheeks. Kageyama was frozen he just sat there wide eyed while Hinata pressed his lips against the blue eyes males own.
Tobio didn't know how to react, his teammate and friend was kissing him, out of the blue! What was he supposed to do? Kiss back? Or push Hinata away? Internally screaming he made his choice and chose the former option. Kageyama had no idea what drove him too reciprocate the kiss but he did it anyway.
When the pulled away Hinata seemed to snap back into his usual self "a-ah! I'm sorry!" he yelled his face bright red and a nervous grimace on his face. Kageyama frowned and stood offering his hand too the somewhat disappointed male "come on, let's get you home dumba-...Shoyou" Hinata snapped his head up at the mention of his first name and grinned and took his teammate/boyfriend's hand.
Maybe not playing volleyball for a few days wouldn't be so bad after all?
