"One.More.Page.." A very tired Haise breathes out as he flips to the last page of just one of the numerous reports that he had to read, analyze and understand for the case that him and his team were given.

And just when his eyes finally landed on the first word written on the page, his body couldn't take it anymore and gave up. He slumps on the table and his eyeballs roll back which visibly made him looked like his soul has finally passed on. The paper once held by his soft hands now carelessly scattered around the table. He was too tired to actually care if some of it ended being crumpled or squashed by his slump figure.

Suddenly, a low chuckle is heard from the outside the door.

The door finally opened and reveals the creature behind the voices heard outside, he made no effort to look back and see who it was.

"Haise, you're going to drool all over those papers." The man says as he approaches the slump figure of the tired man.

"Hmm, go away..." Haise mumbles as he places both of his arms on the table and snuggled his head on it.

The man chuckles yet again, only this time, it had a different tone than earlier.
"Haise, wouldn't it be better to sleep on the bed with me?" He whispers dangerously close to his ears, his breathe tickling the base of his neck. He slightly jumps when he feels his hands snakes its way towards his shoulder blades, massaging them to ease his stress.

"K-kaneki!" Haise calls out to the bleach-haired man behind him.

"Hmm?" Kaneki purrs on Haise's ear as his hands continued to massage his shoulders. "I-i-i-I didn't know you were home already?!?!" Haise stuttered as he tried to keep his composure under his delicate touch.

"I could say the same to you." He says, deciding to stop massaging his shoulders as he found him uncomfortable rather than relaxed under his touch. "Didn't you say you still had paperwork to be done in the office?" Haise turns his seat around and faces Kaneki.

"I actually do.." He murmurs, getting lost in thought as he recalls the stack of paper placed on his office table. "But, I also have these damned reports to study for the new case given to us!" He turns around again and in frustration, throws the paper in the air as it landed back on the table it was placed on.

Kaneki sighs, also feeling a little frustrated to see his lover stressed over his work.

He takes a chair and scoots it close, way too close for Haise's trembling heart. He places one arm around his shoulders and leans forward, peaking at the paper. "Let me help you then." Haise looks at him, his boyish smile flashing towards him. "What better way to investigate a ghoul than having a ghoul itself be the advisor of the investigator, right?"

"I..i guess.." He whispers, still unsure if it was best for Kaneki to be involved again in the dirty world of ghouls. He hands the paper to him and Kaneki reads them, word by word, digesting everything just to help, even just a tiny bit, his dear lover.

Haise smiles as he watches he scrutinizes the paper in a manner that told him that he was indeed serious on helping him out. Which made him feel happy and thankful that such a man existed in his life.

A question from earlier suddenly pops out in his mind again.

"Oh right, I forgot to ask you, why're you so home early?" He says, taking away his lover's attention from the papers to him. "Why, are you not happy to see me?" Kaneki asks and pouts his lower lip.

Haise blushes and waves his hands in the air in defense, "Nononono! I was just wondering, I'm glad you're here with me!" Kaneki laughs as he watches Haise, looking as red as a tomato, panic.

"Good." He leaned and gave him a chaste kiss, giving him a mischievous grin after. "Anyway, to answer your question, I finished my meal too quickly. That's all there is."

Kaneki turns his attention back to the paper, ignoring the glares given to him by the man beside him. Haise boils in both embarrassment and longing at the mere touch of his mouth on his. He might be such a tease most of the time but he couldn't deny the fact that enjoyed every single second of it.

Kaneki suddenly bends his hand placed on Haise's shoulder and holds Haise's head. He maneuvers his head to turn towards the paper and says, "Haise, focus on your work or you'll never be able to finish this tonight."

Haise sighs in defeat and held on to the paper as Kaneki does the same, "Yes dear.."
Kaneki smiles at his endearment, "Good."

Soon enough, instead of progressing on the case like what they both initially planned to, both of them fell into deep slumber. Haise's head placed on Kaneki's shoulder as his was on top of his head. Kaneki's hands wrapped tightly around Haise's shoulders as Haise's were around his waist. Their bodies leaning on each other as they attempt to snuggle closer than they already are.
Meanwhile, from downstairs of their cozy mansion.

"Saiko, bring this coffee to Sassan so he can be all energized!" Shirazu shoves the coffee towards the short statured woman in front of him. She mumbles a few incoherent words before obliging his request.

"Sasaki-san, here's some coff---" She stops midsentence as she watched two familiar figure all snuggled up on each other. She smiles before whispering, "I guess you have something that you like more than coffee, huh?"

She carefully shuts the door and makes her way downstairs.

"Why are you still holding on to the coffee??" Shirazu asks, a little too loud. "Sssshhhhh!"Saiko places her finger on his lips to shush him. "Sasaki-san is already asleep, you better not disturb him!" She shouted in a whisper.

He tilts his head in confusion thinking, wasn't the report more important than sleep?
As if Saiko read his mind, "Kaneki-san's with him." Shirazu immediately understood and took the coffee from her hands.

"Sorry, coffee-san, but Sassan likes someone else now. But I'm always here for you.
