"It's not my place to say, but just to be real with you, I don't see you and Joseph lasting together unless he changes his damn attitude," Marta said bluntly. I looked over my shoulder to her and she shrugged.
"Why are you with him again?" She unintentionally said rudely.

"Before he moved in he was a completely different person. I liked him very much, in terms as his personality. He seemed very gentlemanly, sweet, and I believed he was myself but in a different gender. Oh and Marta wasn't it you who encouraged me to try dating?" I laughed.

"Yeah but-.. there's no buts," she said guiltily.

"How's the kids anyways?" I asked.

"They're good, they're in China with their father. I'm loving the time off," she chuckled and I joined in.
..
"Elisabeth, my sister Marta. Marta, my baby mother Elisabeth," the two females shook hands.
"Elisabeth, my best friend Marmae. Marmae, Elisabeth," I shook hands with her also. I don't understand why Max had to emphasis on 'best friend'.

This private hospital looks quite spectacular. However, if your water is broken I don't know how you'd have the time and patience to come all the way to some fancy ass hospital.

"Our sons are being tested and shall be here any second now. My father also would like a word with your family Maximum. Oh, and I heard that you cancelled the morning gathering," she spoke eagerly. Not trying to be rude, but for someone who's supposed to be in a lot of pain after the caesarian, she can sure speak a lot in just seconds.

"Yeah," Max said bluntly. He stood by the window, waiting on the nurses, eager to see the newborns. His 'eager' waiting face was pretty cute.

"My father is on his way now, so he'll just speak you and Marta," Elisabeth added, whist texting on her phone.

"Marmae is family too," said Marta with a little anger in her voice.

"Is she?" Elisabeth looked up from her phone to scan at me.

"Aren't you Marmae?" Marta included me into the conversation.

"Yeah she is," Max added himself into the conversation, phew, because I didn't want to answer in the awkward situation.

"I thought you said she was your best friend Max? Also she looks nothing like any of you," Elisabeth said arrogantly. She spoke of me instead of to me, as if  I wasn't in her presence, which I found rude.

"Because Marmae is black, does that not make her apart of my family?" Asked Marta in a stern voice.

"Well there's no resemblance, unless she was adopted you could say family," the baby mother of Max's children spoke so bluntly. I caught Max's eye, and the way he looked at her. My best friend gave his baby mama the stink eye!

"Max and I don't look anything alike," Marta raised her brows. "Oh, and because you're my nephews mother does that make you apart of my family?" Simply asked Marta. I knew what she doing; opening the door before shutting it back in Elisabeth's face.

"Well yeah-"

"Uh uhhh, wrong! I don't know you, visa versa, and we have no family bondage. I know you just gave birth and whatnot, but you have too much arrogance for my liking. Marmae is my sister, and I'm sorry love but please don't speak of her as if she isn't at the end of your bed," orated Marta. The poor girl looked glum; Elisabeth.

"You know what though?.. it's ok. Elisabeth, I brought you a twin-baby-basket, full off necessaries," I put the big blue basket of things where the rest of her gifts were.

"Thanks," she said without appreciation, and I was fine with that. Well that's what I kept telling myself.

"I think we should sterilise our hands, I see the nurse," happily stated Max and we obeyed.
