Several months later..
I dressed the boys in their Nike all in ones, Jordan trainers and their winter coats. I then put them in their rocker-bouncer chair so I could do my makeup and hair. Times like these I wish I had my weave back in to just save some time.
I laid my edges and took out the mini twists in my hair, showing off those popping coils. I fiddled with them a bit, before starting off my makeup. I had to be ready before Max got home, because I knew he'd hold a grudge on me if I wasn't. This morning he made it clear that he did not want to be late, when meeting Elisabeth and her family. I couldn't be late, I was so happy that Elisabeth was finally wanting to meet the babies.
...
"How comes you're not nervous?" Asked Max as he pulled up at a luxurious mansion."Because this isn't about me, I'm happy that the boys can finally see their mother. It pained me when I saw that she didn't want to hold them at the hospital," I frowned at the thought.
Max put his hand on my thigh and said," I understand love," before kissing my cheek.
We got out the car, told the guards at the door who we were, then entered the house of my dreams.
"Ooo, it's very nice in here," I said as I looked at all the chandeliers and flowers.
"It's a bit too feminine for me. Too bright, too pink, too many flowers-"
"Shut up!" I nudged him a little, because Mr. Penn was down the hall awaiting for us with his arms crossed.
"Well sorry to disappoint you Mr. Waterz. Besides thank you for coming, let me acquaint you to our lounge," he said looking elsewhere. I hate when people don't make eye contact when they're talking, in my opinion it's quite rude.
He wore those really posh suits with the scarf-thing tucked in his chest. Good job with the explanation, but even in my experience of meeting higher up people, I still don't know the name of the actual dress.
In the living room there was an older lady, looking around the same age as Mr. Penn. It was probably his wife, or shall I say, it was most certainly his wife, because Elisabeth looked like a younger version of her. However this woman had a cold ora about her, she looked at me as if I was her number one enemy from the 20th century.
"Marmae and Max, meet my wife Silene," introduced Mr. Penn. I wanted to be polite, so I gestured to shake her hand. I think I began to turn pale, because she didn't shake it until the very last second when I was about to pull it away.
I covered up my embarrassment with a smile. Thank the lord that I'm not lighter skinned, because I'm sure I'd be looking strawberry red.Max and I took a seat on a sofa opposite Elisabeth and her parents. Max introduced me as his partner- aka lover, before he asked Elisabeth -who looked well- if she felt a lot better.
"May I hold.. Hector?" She looked down to her lap. I smiled.
"Of course," I got up and handed him over to her. The small child looked worried and gave me the 'take me back' look. He then began to cry. Max and I looked at each other, whilst she tried to comfort him, but he cried even harder with his face turning bright red. I felt bad for her, because she hadn't had the slightest clue what to do accept bounce him on her lap. As I was about to guide her, her mother took Hector to deal with it.
Elisabeth was dressed in comfortable-looking house clothes. She looked somewhat like an adolescent though, meh.
I looked at her expression, which kind of saddened me. She looked hopeless, as if she was heavily doubting herself."Um I'm sorry," she said pitifully, getting up and running out of the room.
I couldn't help but tap my foot, I wanted to help her but eventually her father got up and followed her, excusing himself. I just sighed and leaned on Max. Hector was still crying, and it was getting irritating now.
