Nicole's POV
After a vocal recording, I headed home so I could talk to Erica. She needs to be taught that she can't run away from school to see me. I'm not sure she'll get along with Lauren seeing as she doesn't want a nanny, but we'll make it work. I pulled into the driveway and saw that Lauren was still here with Erica.
" Erica where are you?, I need to talk to you" I called, setting my purse down on the counter
" I don't want to talk to you mommy, I hate you" Erica yelled
"Erica Marie Scherzinger, you come here right now before I count to three, 1 ..... 2......... " I yelled
Sure enough Erica came into the kitchen right before three, because she wouldn't want to be in trouble. I walked over to her and set her on a chair before talking to her.
" Erica you're in big trouble, you can't run away from your teachers just cause you want to, you could've gotten hurt, its dangerous to walk around by yourself" I said
"But mommy I wanted to see you so bad I missed you" Erica complained
" Erica you still can't do that even if you miss me, I couldn't imagine what would happen if I lost you, honey I'd be so scared" I said
" I'm sorry mommy it won't happen again" She said, reaching out for a hug
I gave her a hug, while she cried into my arms. At least she understands why she can't do that again. I had to talk to her about Lauren, because its important.
"Erica I need to talk to you about something else can you look at me real quick?" I asked, pulling away from the hug
" What do you need to tell me mommy?" She said, looking at me
"I know you don't want a nanny but I had to get one, she's not full time so she'll only watch you when mommy's busy so she'll drive you to school and pick you up and watch you until mommy gets home okay" I said
" Okay mommy where is she? " Erica asked
" Lauren can you come in here for a minute?" I called, so Erica could see her
"I'll be right there Nicole" She called
She walked in and sat down next to Erica and tried to get her used to her company. Erica didn't seem to mind, this is going easier than I thought it would.
"Erica honey this is Lauren your nanny, she'll be here for awhile until mommy can get a break from work" I said
" Okay mommy I like her she's nice" Erica said
Lauren's POV
My first day with Erica we'll see how it goes, she seemed like a sweet girl so I hope she'll be easy for me. Its 630 am and She starts school at 8 so I have to get her ready and out the door by 7. Nicole is already at work, so its just me and the princess. Here goes nothing.
"Erica darling time to get up, its time to get ready for school" I said, shaking her awake
" I don't wanna go to school and you can't make me I'm staying home" She said
" No you have to school, mommy said so, come on get dressed and I'll make breakfast" I said, removing her from the bed
"Fine but I'm not going to like it so move" She said, pushing me out of her way
I walked downstairs and put a pop tart in the toaster and poured her some milk in her sippy cup. I walked upstairs hopefully she'll be dressed by now. She was dressed so I helped her brush her teeth and comb her hair.
We walked out the door to the car where she was eating her breakfast, and started the drive to school. She didn't have a cupholder which I knew was going to be a problem somehow. I came to a stop sign where I heard a shriek from the backseat. I looked back there and she had spilled her milk on herself.
"I'm sorry Lauren, I didn't mean to it just happened" She said
"It's okay it was an accident I'm not mad you'll have to get cleaned up that's all" I said
First Day and it turned okay, I just have to get her to like me a little bit more so its not awkward for the other times
