*MICHAEL P.O.V.*

This had been a long time coming, I beamed as I saw the UNKNOWN name flash across my phone screen. I sat up on my bed and hesitated before opening the message, thinking of what he could possibly have to say. I decided to stop being a girl about and just open it.

UNKNOWN

Hey Michael it's Niall. Uhm we reeaallyy need to have chat, can you meet me at Summit?

Was Niall really asking to meetup with me or was it just some excuse to bring the demons back to life. What could he want to talk about, we hadn't spoken one word or given the slightest of glances to each other in a year. Whatever he wanted to talk about I knew I wasn't ready for. I replied sure, not knowing what else to say. I walked to my bathroom, fixing my fringe a bit. I hurried down stairs to find my dad on the couch half drunk watching a soccer game. "Dad I'm gonna go, I'll be back later." I said while pulling on my jacket and grabbing the car keys. "Who? and Why?" Dad asked. "Um..Niall, he wants to me about something. Im not exac--" I was cut off by my Dad. "Hey, Michael I don't care. Just go already." he turned and looked at me with a drunken look on his face. With that I left, not wanting to show him how he had just upset me. I drove all the way to Summit thinking about my Dad. He was such a dick sometimes, no scratch that all of the time.

When I went inside Summit I didn't see Niall , I took a seat close to the door so he could see me when he did arrive. He must still be on his way I thought to myself , thats one thing I'll never forget about Niall he drives like a old lady. Like if he goes the speed limit he'll alter the universe or something. "What happened to the smurf?" a familiar voice said. Of course he would say it like that "Wasn't really me" I replied to Niall as he took a seat across from me. He kept asking pointless questions about my hair, which was really annoying me. Didn't he have something he wanted to talk to me about? "Aren't we supposed to be having a chat? , not discussing my hair." I asked. He seemed to remember, and started asking me questions about Ashton. Why did he care about if I knew him or not. He was bit of the reason, why Niall and I haven't spoken to each other. I laughed at that fact, which sent Niall shooting up out of his chair towering over me.

He started to yell and threaten me, which was one thing I knew he would never forget about me. I hated being yelled at, it mad me feel weal and cowardly. It made think of my father, whom I also had a deep and burning hatred for. He stormed out of the cafe, leaving me there alone in awe of what had just happened. "Hey are you okay?" A girl with wavy blonde hair asked placing her hand on my back. "y-yeah I'm fin-ne" I managed to choke back, trying to hold back the emotions that I knew were coming. "If you need someone to talk to I'm always here." she said whilst handing me folded napkin, which I guessed contained her phone number. "okay, thank you" I said getting up and waving goodbye to the girl. I got in my car and sped off, thinking about what had just happened. It pissed me off to think that someone who I considered my bestfriend had just went off on me. Thats when the crying started, It burned my eyes. I hadn't cried in a long time because my Dad always called me a little bitch when I did. I could barely see to drive, but I finally made it home. I wiped my eyes and cleared my throat to make sure my Dad wouldn't notice I was crying.
