Chapter 23: Who Are You?

~•9:00am•~
~•Raina•~

I wake up to a beeping noise. Where am I? I don't even remember why I'm here. The last this I remember was planning on leaving the castle with my brother Brian.

I look around and see a very cute and peaceful looking boy sitting in the chair next to my bed sleeping

with his hand in mine.

I jerk it away causing him to wake up.

"You're awake!" He stands up and runs out of the room.

He comes back in with a few doctors.

"Hi there, do you know what your name is?" One asks.

"Raina." I answer.

He nods and writes something down on a piece of paper on a clipboard.

"Do you know anything about yourself?"

"My name is Raina and I'm the princess of England."

He does the same thing many time.

"What's the last thing you remember?"

"I was escaping from here to go to California."

The doctors look at each other worried.

"You don't know who I am?" The blonde asks.

"Sorry, but no." I answer truthfully.

His face looks mad, sad, scared, and Hurt.

"Really?" He asks and begins to laugh like its a joke.

"No, really! I don't know who your are! Who are you?"

"You're kidding right? Did Ellington tell you to do this?"

"No!" I yell but then I feel a pain in my stomach. I yelp from the pain.

"Sir, it might be best if you leave now!" One of the doctors tells him.

"No!" He stomps over to the edge of my bed.

"We need security!" The doctor yell out the door.

"Why don't you remember me!? I saved you life twice!!!" He was just about to grab me, but his arms are pulled back by two big men.

"No! Let go! I need to talk to her! Let me talk to my girlfriend!"

Girlfriend?

"Do you want me to bring out the shots again!" The doctor tells him.

"LET ME GO!"

The doctor pulls a shot from his coat and puts it in my "boyfriend's" left side.

He falls to the ground and yelps in pain.

"No. no. Raina. I'm. Sorry. I'm sorry." He whispers before he becomes unconscious.

"Raina! Are you okay?" It's Ellington my friend/guard.

"Yeah I guess. Who was that?" I ask.

"Riker, my friend. He is really nice trust me. He's just not taking this situation well."

"I can tell. Tell me more about him."

~•12:30•~
~•Riker•~

I wake up in a hospital room. I'm sitting on my chair, well more like lying.

I look around and realize this is Raina's room.

"Bout time you wake up." She laughs.

I whip my head and see her lying in the bed, eating food.

"Hi." I say.

"Hello."

"Are you scared of me?"

"Not anymore."

"Why 'not anymore'?"

"Because Ellington came in and told be everything about what happened when I came to California."

"Do you remember any of it?"

"No, but I believe Ellington."

There is a moment of silence as she finishes up eating. When she is done she moves the tray thingy and just looks at me.

I snicker.

"Whats so funny?" She asks laughing too even she doesn't know what I'm laughing about.

"You got a little somethin' right here." I point to my cheek.

She try's to wipe away the piece of food but is having a troubled time. After a few minutes of her trying I stand up and get closer to her.

I put on hand behind her head so I can get the piece of food better. I grab a clean napkin with the other and begin to wipe the food away.

"There." I whisper so only she could hear. I just noticed how close our faces are to each other. I begin to lean in when something I would have never expected to happen, well happens.
