Three Days (Marichat/Adrienette fanfiction)

Day Two

The next day, the two teens woke up cuddled next to each other. Adrien was the first to wake. He looked down at the beautiful girl that he was lying next to. He felt his heart pick up rapidly at the realization that she was his. His and only his, and he would make sure the world knew. He looked at the clock, 7:45. His eyes widened. They weren't going to be late.

"Mari, Princess, Sweetie," he whispered shaking the sleeping girl awake. "Get up! We won't be late if you get up!"

"Hm?" She sounded, rubbing her eyes.

"This is no time to be cute, Princess! We have to get ready!" Adrien called to her, already half way to the bathroom.

Marinette blushed and got up. While Adrien changed and brushed his teeth in the bathroom, she got changed in her own room. Once she was done with that she put on some foundation, putting on a light amount of makeup. She contemplated how she wanted to do her hair. As she was thinking about it, Adrien stepped back into the room. Marinette looked at him. "What do you think? Should I do pigtails, or should I just keep my hair down today?"

Adrien smiled and walked over to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist holding her from behind. "I think you look cute either way, Princess." He said, kissing her on the head.

Marinette groaned. "That doesn't help at all, Kitty!"

Adrien laughed. "Fine, then just keep your hair down."

She put her hair ties down and swept a brush through her hair. Once she was done with that, she headed into the bathroom and started to brush her teeth. After a few more minutes, she stepped out of the bathroom, ready to go. Adrien had packed all of his stuff and took her hand. They both grabbed their backpacks and walked downstairs, through the bakery, and waved goodbye to her parents.

When they arrived at school, they headed to class immediately. They let go of each other's hands and walked up to Ms. Bustier's desk. Their teacher nodded approvingly. "Very good! You both are on time today!"

The two grinned at each other, ready to start the day. It wasn't until lunch that things started to go downhill. Marinette and Adrien were sitting next to each other, eating their lunches. They were chatting as Nino and Alya came over to sit across from them. Alya smirked at the two. "When did you two become so close, eh?" She asked skeptically.

Blush bloomed on the teen duo's faces. Marinette started to make up an excuse as if she was late to school once more. "Well, I, uh, I mean, it's not-"

"We started dating a few days ago." Adrien slipped in, sliding his arm over her shoulder.

She glared at him, whispering so only he could hear. "Dumb cat."

"What do you mean, Princess? Now Alya can start fangirling." Adrien told his beloved girlfriend.

There were screams, but it didn't come from Alya. It was an akuma. Teenagers scattered around as the akuma stepped into their lunch area. Adrien and Marinette stood up on instinct. Adrien was able to get away and transform, but the akuma grabbed Marinette before she could do the same. The akuma was a girl who looked very short for her age.

"I am Miss Illusion!" She boomed.

Suddenly, she grew to an enormous size, holding Marinette with only two of her fingers. Marinette yelled frightfully. This was not good. Then, from out of no where, a baton flew at the akuma's hand, causing her to drop Marintte.

Marinette screamed as she fell from a tremendous height. She was saying her wishes for the world when soft arms caught her.

"Princess! Are you all right?" Chat asked, hoping she was okay.

Marinette nodded as her pulse began to slow down. Chat ran to an empty classroom and dropped his princess in it. As soon as he left the room, Marinette transformed. She ran to the scene in her tight red, black spotted suit. She wrapped her yo yo around the akuma's feet, and the giant fell to the ground. Ladybug quickly snatched the akuma and snapped it in half. She watched as a little butterfly started to float into the distance but failed to grab it due to a giant hand grabbing her.

"No!" Ladybug cried.

Chat Noir tackled the akuma, and it released Ladybug. Ladybug trailed after the purple butterfly, trying to meet it, but failed as it landed on a new victim.

"This can't be happening." She whispered as she watched the man the akuma landed on turn into the same figure as the other akuma, just like the first akuma she faced.

Chat landed behind her, taking in the sight. Racked sobs began to escape Marinette's body, and she fell to the knees. Suddenly, her transformation came off, revealing herself to her kitty.

"M-Marinette?" Chat gasped in shock. Marinette didn't speak, she just cried. Chat kneeled down next to her and released his transformation as well. He then pulled the crying girl into his arms, holding her softly. "It will be okay, Princess. We can fix this." He told her.

He felt the crying girl nod slightly. "Together." He whispered.
