Only if they understood what I went through,
Maybe they would care,
But until then I'll just have to keep picking up the broken pieces,
Never let the things I love be taken over,
By the ones who don't care.
No one will ever understand how many times I've had to sew myself back together,
Just to keep going,
The thoughts of suicide I've had,
People don't get it,
All the times I've cried at night,
It was all just to live,
All the times I've bled for people,
The times I've tried to fix the past,
But that's not what people care about,
They care about the cover,
Not the pages on the inside.
But I just can't let them take over my body,
I have to keep going.
