Rule #3 - Remember that sometimes people change, but more likely- they don't

I sat, sulking, on a bench in the girls locker room, staring at the pass written by the nurse. It was all Axel's fault. Of course it was. He purrs. That basically means he's out to destroy my life if I'm not careful. I sighed and tugged at my badminton uniform, which looked hideous by the way. It was the only pair of extra clothes I had on me to wear after my shower. I'm taking another shower when I get home. My hair was wet as well, and I didn't even have swimming today! I groaned and stood up. The pass only accounted for some twenty minutes and I had used all that up with the showering. I stalked across the locker room and kicked the door open, only to witness in the corner of my eye a figure suddenly bend over and hear a soft groan.

"I'm so sorry!" I blurted out, and then immediately wished I hadn't apologized when I realized I had hit Axel with the door.

"Swing open the door a little harder, would ya?" He muttered, straightening up while rubbing the side of his stomach.

"It was your fault for standing right in front of the girls locker room anyway." I said, rolling my eyes.

"I was walking out of the boys locker room! I wasn't even that close to the door, it's just the fact that you shoved it so wide open!" I winced, that actually made a lot of sense. I noticed his hair was wet and he was wearing a blue polo shirt, something he hadn't had on this morning. So he had taken a shower as well. Then he snickered and all the sympathy I had conjured up vanished. "You look like a wet rat." He said, and began to chuckle.

I ran my hand through my damp hair and scowled. "Thanks for noticing. You too." Then, in an even worse mood, I began speed walking away. I heard his quick footsteps begin to follow me after a while and I figured his class was just in that direction. But when he continued to remain behind me up the staircase and around the corner of the hallway I stopped and turned around sharply. "Why are you following me?" You should've just ignored him. My conscience whispered softly. Don't incur his wrath. He's dangerous. He purrs. Well, too late for that. Instead, I strengthened my glare and fixed it onto his "clueless" face.

"What?"

"You're following me, stalker. Stop it."

"What?"

"Don't act oblivious, you clueless buffoon!" It was then my words struck some meaning and his face lit up in realization. Rather than get upset at the words I had called him, he started to laugh.

"Wait, you think I'm following you?"

"Yes, isn't that what I just said?"

His body began to shake with his laughter and it was then it dawned upon me how much I hated the sound of Axel's laugh. He paused in his fit of laughter to squeeze out, "I'm just trying to get to lab. Stop flattering yourself." And then he walked away, his laughter trickling to soft chuckles.

It was now I who trailed after him, with the impending sense of doom, now that I knew we had lab together. Literally all my classes were with him. Why? Maybe because I hadn't had a single class with him since high school had started, so to compensate God stuck me with him entirely in junior year. Or maybe because karma wanted to get me back for something I had done that I don't even remember. Whatever the case, there was no escaping Axel King. I frowned at the sudden enlightening as Axel stopped at the door and pulled it open. I stepped in after him but instead of holding the door like I stupidly thought he would, he let it swing shut behind him- the door narrowly missing my face as I stumbled back. Screw you King, I thought, as I viciously shoved the door open, for the second time that day. Without looking at the rest of the kids in my class, I slammed my pass down on my physics lab teacher's desk, on top of Axel's, and plopped down into a random desk.
