I feel Katniss stir next to me and get up. I sigh, figuring that she's going to wash off her most recent nightmare. Rolling over, I close my eyes and try to relax, fighting off an oncoming attack of fear and confusion. Awhile after I calm down, I realize that I can't hear any water running, and I start to get worried. Just when I'm about to go find her, I hear the door open and see her dark outline creep in.

"Hey, you okay?" I ask. She doesn't answer but continues to advance towards the bed.

"Prim." she whispers, and raises her hand.

"I know, Katniss, I know. It's going to be okay, just come back to bed." I look at her and notice something shiny she's holding. I move just in time as she slashes in the spot my face had been a second ago. I feel a searing pain in my arm and I throw myself at her. Ripping the knife out of her hand, I throw it at the wall. It sticks, and she lunges for it.

"Prim!!" she screams. I grab her around the middle, and with her kicking and screaming, lug her into the bathroom.

"Remember who the real enemy is, Katniss." I whisper, sadly remembering Finnicks words, and I splash cold water on her. She goes limp for half a second before bursting into heartbreaking sobs. Lifting her in my arms like a baby, I carry her back to bed. Her face remains buring in my chest and I set her down, never letting go.
