The bright rays of sunlight shone through my navy blue curtains. I pulled my grey and white striped blanket over my head- my best attempt to hide from the morning. I rolled my eyes and stumbled out of bed. I tripped on my black carpet and made an ungraceful landing onto the light brown wood flooring. As I got back up, I reached for my thick black rimmed glasses to see the surroundings that were my room.
I paced over to my dresser and picked out a red flannel and ripped black skinny jeans to wear for the day that became in front of me.
As I got out of the bathroom after changing into my clothes and preparing myself for the school day, I quickly grabbed my satchel before locking the metal front door, said a quick farewell to my mom, and walked over to the bus stop that laid across from the apartments of where I lived.
After reaching the school, I put on my black snapback to make sure no-one would notice me. Not like that even made a difference.
I walked up the cement staircase that lead to the entrance to our school and inhaled before entering the prison. A couple people gave me strange looks at the sight of me doing this motion. I brushed off their confused glances- I was clearly used to them, and proceeded to make my way into the school.

In the middle of my last class before lunch, mathematics, I felt as if someone were staring at me. Rapidly, I scanned the classroom in attempt to find the culprit (if there was one) and my eyes landed on one of the players of the school- Brandon Michelle. He was two seats directly toward my left and currently he sat, giving me a half smile. In return, I rolled my eyes and went back to focusing on the equation Mr. Brenner had us work on.
As the class was nearing the end, I still felt Brandon's emerald green eyes piercing holes into the left side of my head. Once again, I tried my best to block out all signs of his stare, and pushed up my glasses to where the black edges covered up his body. Satisfied with my accomplishment, I let out a giggle that only I could here. Apparently, it was louder than I presumed it to be, Mr. Brenner taking a quick glance over to my seat, cocking his right eyebrow up toward his light grey hair. "Mrs. Russell, is there something funny you'd like to share to the class?""N-no sir." I stuttered, my face heating up due to all of the attention.
"Well, talk to me after class...I haven't seen you act up in a while." His nostrils flared, getting annoyed with such a small topic.
One of the issues I had with Mr. Brenner was his temper. I never had annoyed him severely, but on a couple of occasions he would grow tired of everyone's jokes and laughs. If I were to do anything wrong, he'd immediately bite back.
There were a couple snickers and laughs that floated around the cream coloured walls that wrapped around the small high school classroom. I looked back to my left and saw Brandon smirking at me whilst pushing his messy brown hair out of his tan face and intense green eyes. He gave me a quick wink before Mr. Brenner repeated the same scenario as what happened to me. "Mr. Michelle and Mrs. Russell, see me in detention!" He roared, fed up with our encounter.
Brandon scoffed and I chewed on the inside of my cheek to avoid retorting back. The class let out a few laughs other than Brandon and I who stayed silent. I was surprised at Brandon's behaviour as he usually would take the chance to say something harsh back to the teacher. Sadly, I spoke too soon.
