The New Sith (Sequel to The New Jedi)

Chapter 1

Finn POV

Today is the day that my Rey left me. Darth Zeth won the war inside her. It's pathetic how I have still have hope that she'll return. During the day it's easy to not think of her, I have an army to create after all. But at night, she is the only thing in my mind.

I miss her terribly. She was my other half. Now I am half a man only living on the slither of hope she'll come back. Of course I must prepare myself for the war she'll bring. There is still the possibility that we'll see each other on the battlefield.

I don't know if she'd let me go or try to kill me. I think seeing her kill innocent people would kill me. Luke went into exile to grieve alone. Leia and I have tried to convince him to stay but he wouldn't comply. The Republic knows where he is of course but we leave him be knowing that an angry Jedi is dangerous.

We have built up the army quite a bit and our navy is truly powerful but Mandalorians are skilled warriors and the cloners can easily match that skill. Also the Sith are very powerful and have powers that can destroy easily.

"OUR ARMY MUST TRAIN MORE", a voice snaps me out of my haze. Some senators seem to be arguing with each other. I attend all senate and military meetings. I am the military anyway, only the chancellor can veto my word but I know he wouldn't.

"I agree, our army must be more prepared. The Mandalorians are highly dangerous and the more training the better", I say trying to stop the argument. "But if we wait, then they'll grow stronger", the opposing senator responds.

"Mandalore doesn't have a navy that's all they're building now", I say. "You don't know that. They could be seizing outer rim systems. They could be expanding there cloning capabilities", the senator fires back.

"You are too nervous, my friend. They will not attack yet, they still need to expand.", I say. "THEY HAVE A SITH, HEAD GENERAL, A SITH", he yells at me. I stay calm, I'm used to this by now. "Exactly so we must grow stronger."

"You don't understand they'll kill us. I've seen it before, in the Empire and The First Order", he spits back. Man, this guy will not listen at all. Time to show who's boss. "I KNOW THEM BETTER THAN YOU, SENATOR. SO SHUT UP AND LISTEN."

"ENOUGH", the chancellor yells. Everyone grows silent. "I understand your point, senator, but the Head General as more experience than you. I will call a military meeting and plan a scouting to calm your nerves", he adds.

"Thank you chancellor", the senator replies. "I am done for today. I want all of the Generals to meet me in my office, everyone else leave." We all leave the senate chamber but I go to the chancellor's office. There I see all seven of the generals.

We are all friendly to each other but we are set on defeating the Imperial Order. Actually my old friend Jase rose up the ranks and became a general. He's one of my best friends, well one of my only friends besides Poe. He helped me get my life together because Poe was still grieving Sam.

Don't get me wrong Poe is a great guy but all he ever did was rant on saying he knew Rey was evil from the start. It didn't help at all. "Hello everyone", I greet. They all stand up and salute. Then the chancellor walks in and we bow.

"Greetings everyone, as you heard I want to send some scouts out to the outer rim", he says while siting down in his seat. "Yes, chancellor but where in the outer rim? Near Kamino? Mandalore?", my friend Jase asks.

"I want to know what's going on in Kamino. Mandalore is too dangerous right now", the chancellor says. "Send a quarter of the fleet to the Kamino system and send scouts the planet", he adds. That is a very bad idea.
