PROLOGUE

As I was rushing out of the scene, I heard a distant cry of anguish...

It was a cold night, the ground was wet on my skin. I could smell the burning gasoline, the hood of the car was in flames. Beside the car, I saw her being lifted by someone whose back was facing to me.

I could never forget her face full of tears and she was muttering some words that I couldn't hear and in an instant, she vanished into thin air.

I opened my eyes and wiped the tears from my eyes. Then, I saw a lavatory and went straight towards it. There I washed my tear-streaked face and the rest of my body which was covered in blood.

I feel so alone and empty.

I don't deserve to be here.

Will someone be able to take away the pain and sadness inside of me?

Tears sprang from my eyes. Then, unexpectedly, a warm comforting hand gently tapped me on my shoulder.

"Hey."
