I was listening to the lesson being discussed in history class when the final bell of the day rang. Professor Cornwall dismissed us and I stood up and packed my things when the professor called my attention.
I walked towards him when I suddenly bumped into someone. I immediately apologized but he didn't seem to notice me, so I just continued walking to the professor's desk.
"Miss Jacobs? Is that correct?" Professor Cornwall asked while he was fixing his table and was leaning on it afterwards.
"Yes, Professor Cornwall." I nodded while I said it. What could the professor want with me? I decided to ask him if he wants something from me.
"Well... I heard about the unfortunate incident that happened earlier and I just would like to give you a word of advice. Well...", he starts pacing and continued speaking. "You know since you're new to the academy." I looked at him and understood that he just wants to make my stay here comfortable and I hope so too.
"I would suggest that you should have friends because they're the only one that would help you get through this academy alive." He stared at me, his face serious and then he went back into his work, filing the papers that were on his table.
He didn't look like he was going to say anything more so I left.
What does he mean? I need to have friends? I can't even make a good impression on the first day of school and he expects me to HAVE friends? I sigh as I walk my way down the hall.
I scan my bag to look for my phone when I came across a folded paper. Out of curiosity, I opened the folded paper.
Meet me at the gazebo.
-C
I stared at the folded paper. Meet at the gazebo? That's out the back. And C? Who is C? I know no one with a C on their name.
*SIGH*
Well... I guess I'll have to go to the gazebo and tell the person that he lost this scrap on my bag.
I tucked the scrap of paper on my bag and started walking to the gazebo.
