Prologue - Captivity

"Now everyone, look at this cage and the miserable creature inside it."

On the white marbled floor lay a silver cage. In the little prison, the group could see a barely-breathing "human" with his clothes ripped all over.

"Where did you find him? asked another voice.

- He was stumbling out of an alley, the same alley where Vak was murdered two years ago.

- At the demon pub?"

She nodded.

All had their eyes on the cage. Some faces showed curiosity, while most expressed disdain.

The leader of the group was named Algra. She wore a gray suit and a golden pin shaped like a ring. The most captivating thing about her wasn't her face or feminine assets though, but her long golden angel wings that trailed behind. Her gold-colored irises expressed nothing but greed. When she spoke, you could see her perfectly aligned teeth reflecting the artificial light from above. Algra looked like she was in her thirties, but that was probably a very wrong assumption considering she was an angel...

Algra got closer to the cage and crouched down to be mouth-to-ear with the shaking captive. He didn't even react when she whispered with her falsely warm voice:

"You are safe with us now, demon."

Followed darkness for the poor creature...
