8. The witch

-Two weeks later-

My new apartment is nice, and most importantly, cheap. It's not big, but it's cozy and enough. Even we only have only one room that we share, Soeun and Jinwoo do not mind, they did not complain and I am thankful for that. As soon as I can, I will get them a bigger apartment, but for now, we're good. I got all our stuff from Canada, but things did not go as smoothly as I thought they would.

I knew my uncle had a witch for a wife, but that woman is truly a b*tch. Like, is she even human? How did he end up with ''someone'' like that? If it wasn't for me being a civilized human being with an amazing ability to remain calm and not give a damn about whatever that is not worth it, I would be in prison right now. Charged with murder.

- A week ago-

The flight was long and tiring, I just wanted to teleport to my house. I went out of the airport and grabbed a taxi. Once I was home, I was unexpectedly and unwantedly greeted by my ''aunt'' a.k.a the witch. Witch... I'm being generous. I entered my parents' room and she was there searching in their drawers, for I don't know what. In her pocket, I saw an envelope, the one that my mom used to put money in.

-What the F. are you doing and what the freak you think you're doing? She jumped in surprise at my words.

I went to her, grabbed her wrist, dragged her away from the room and took the envelope from her pocket.

- This ain't yours. Now get the hell out of here or I'll call the police.

-How dare you treat me like that!? I was just looking for stuff you may need.

- Let me translate: Stuff you're greedy for when you have no right to it. Stuff I may need yes, but that you were going to steal. Who do you think you're kidding. You tried it. An advice that would be pretty helpful: don't. mess. with. me. Now get the hell out here. I said glaring at her

*smack*

- How dare you? you little-

She slapped me. Oh hell no, she did not. I didn't let her finish her phrase, I slapped her back. Have you ever received a slap from a volleyball player? I don't think I need to add more.

She put her hand on her cheek, it was read and her eyes too. She was tearing up. I almost felt bad. Almost. Sorry, so not sorry.

-I- I'm not going out! I'm staying, just try me! She yelled, trying to show that she had some authority on me.

-Oh really? I rose an eyebrow at her and I took out my phone, composed a number and put it on speaker

-911, this is the police, what is your emergency?

- Hello, someone-

Before I could finish my sentence the witch jumped at me, making my phone fall off my hands.

-You! She didn't know what to say I guess since she did not add anything and she just went out.

I just smiled, who does she think she's messing with?  I picked up my phone.

-Hello, I'm sorry, there is no problem anymore. Thank you.

I hung up and went to my parents' room. I slept on their bed, I was so tired.

The next day, I went to a friend's house to fetch Happy. Happy was my dog, a Belgian Shepherd. I loved him so much. Happy is literally the definition of loyalty and affection. Plus, he is really smart. I can talk to him and he would understand me. Sometimes better that anybody else.

In a week, I was done packing everything I needed, some drama happened with the witch, but she really ain't worth my thoughts, so woosh, out of my mind.

-Present-

I am now in my new apartment with Happy. Jinwoo and Soeun went to school, I really hope that everything will be fine for them there and I wanted them to make friends. Friends always make things easier, they're precious! This makes me think about, Sojin and Miraie. They're now at the entertainment company, working. Miraie is there as a producer and songwriter, while Sojin is a rapper, but she also does some acting. Or more like will do some. They both are really talented and they are good at what they do.  They're doing them.

-Happy, I have a meeting for the modeling, don't cause any trouble!

He went to sleep. I will take that as a: count on me.

-Thank you, I said and went out.

Destination: Big hit entertainment.

It's only then that it hit me.
