12. Past

Ouf! I'm finally  done with my chemistry's class. This day was long, I had two hours and a half of physics, three hours of biology and a chemistry lab. I'm so tired, I want to sleep so bad, but I have my final math exam tomorrow...I'm so done. I  hang my lab coat in my locker and I take out my coat and my bag. I walk out of school with no actual energy to walk. As if it was not enough, it was raining. I usually love rain, but now I'm just too tired, and It is raining so hard, I'm going to get all soaked in a matter of seconds.

~Ring ding dong ring ding dong~ I take out my phone, put on my earphones and I answer my phone.

''Hey, what's up'' I say knowing that it was Sojin who called.

''Bad...''She says with a weak  voice. What's going on? She is worrying me, I hope it is not serious.

''Where are you?'' I ask her immediately.

''I'm home. I couldn't handle it anymore so I called...'' This is bad, I need to go see her, forget about being tired or that damn exam.

''You did well, I'm coming right now.'' The bus is coming in 5 minutes, good, I'll just walk as fast as I can to catch it.

''Don't bother, it's okay, we can just talk on the phone.'' Her voice sounds as if her soul had left her body, there is no way that it is okay or that we are going to just talk on the phone.

''What I said was an affirmation. See you in about 10 or 15 minutes.'' I say firmly.

''Thank you. I don't know how to go out though... my parents are in the living room and I don't want to confront them, they are both drunk and out of their mind, fighting and mom doesn't miss her chances to take out her frustration on me...'' She is trying hard to hold back her tears, her anger tears, her frustration tears in this unfair and awful situation. She does not deserve what she is going through. No one does.

''Well, we're going to develop some spontaneous ninja skills and get you out from your window'' I say playfully trying to cheer her up.

She chuckles. What a relief.

''Don't worry yeobo~(honey)'' I say with some aegyo. What do I not do for my friends? If I do aegyo for you, know that between you and I, it's real. ''This happy virus potato got you and will get out of there.''

''Seriously... I don't even know what to expect from a clumsy giraffe like you.''

''AW!'' I say as if I was hurt by her words. ''Trust me.'' I say using the most charming voice ever.

''Oh god...looking forward to it.''She says expecting the worst scenarios ever, her words were not false, I am one damn clumsy giraffe who doesn't know how to coordinate her own body. I don't even know what I should expect from myself or how I am going to get her out of there...oh well, I'll see once there.

''Girl, I'll get in the bus, I'll call you once I am in front of your house.''

''ok, see you.'' she says, her voice still as weak as it was at the beginning.

I hang up and I call Miraie, the hot potato. I am the happy virus potato, Miraie is the hot potato and Sojin is the cute potato. Together, we are the dumb thirsty potatoes. We are all smart, but once we are together, we cam be really dumb, like insanely dumb. As friends, we have to support each in our insanity. If not, the what are friends for? Or more like, what are sisters for?

''HELLO AREUMIEEEEE'' Someone is in a good mood.
