Matthew reeled up the letter carefully. He picked up a ribbon from the basket which was on the windowsill and fastened it around the paper in a comely bow. He gently pressed his lips against the paper and tabbed up an empty water bottle from the windowsill. He gently tucked the paper into the bottle and tightened the lid close. Wiping away the tears that had reinforced up in his eyes, Mr. Lachowski looked out of the window at the nitid blue sea and the endearing sand. It was quiet, absolutely beautiful.
Matthew walked out of the hospital building towards the sea. He was holding the bottle firmly in his hand. Matthew eventually reached the blue breezy waves which swayed in front of his eyes. He could witness a group of friends messing around in the sand and laughing. They seemed around Shiloh's age, 16. It reminded him of how Shiloh used to stare out of his window at Shiloh messing around with his friends on the sand. One of the boys from the group of friends was staring at Matthew. His eyes were full of curiosity. Mr. Lachowski smiled at him and looked away, taking a deep breath. He slowly situated the bottle in the sea and saw how it gently travelled across the tranquil waves. He walked back through the sand feeling many tears scatter down his cheeks but still, a smile remained on his lips.

I was curious. Yes, pretty fucking curious. Taylor, my friend, tapped my shoulder. I turned around. "What's up?" I said.
"More like, what's up with you? I called you so many times but you didn't respond. Anyway, I and the others are going to get an ice cream, wanna come?" she said, with her usual motherly face. I shook my head
"No, but could you please get me one? I want to stay around here for a while." she shrugged "Sure, why not? Oh, and Katian, if anything is on your mind, you know I'm always here right? You seem a bit off lately." I shook my head.
"Of course I would tell you, Tay! You would be the first person I would tell. Don't worry I'm fine, if anything was wrong I would tell you first" I gave her a reassuring smile. She smiled back.
"Well okay. I'm going to run off to the other before they get too far, we'll be back quick!" and with that, she scooted off to the others. As soon as everyone was gone, I grinned. Turning back around at the sea, I saw that the bottle had travelled quite distant. My eyes widened and I ran to the sea. Taking a deep breath, I dived into the water swimming towards the bottle. I gripped onto it with one of my soaked hands and swam out of the water. Taking a deep breath, I sat on the sand facing the sea, staring at the bottle. I was too worn out to open the bottle right now, so I slipped it into my shorts pockets. It wasn't the best place because it could bungle out easily, but there was no way I would tolerate anyone to take it.
I stood up and turned around, just about to walk back to my deck chair but jerked into something inadequate, which bumped into my torso. I slowly looked down to see a small figure staring up at me. The first thing I realised was his eyes. They were glowing. They were actually fucking glowing. The colour blue. They were.... statuesque.
"Can I have that bottle please?" He said like his life depended on it. I didn't quite pick up his words really, I was staring just at his eyes.
"Hello? Please? I need it." he said, he seemed like he was getting a little impatient. But since I'm the idiot I am, I didn't look away from his eyes. I mean, they were shining! Ah, I hate to admit but I guess the way I was looking at this little boy wasn't right. He gradually pulled the bottle out of my pocket and began to run away. That's when I realised what just happened.
"Hey! You... You little idiot! Get back here!" I ran after the little boy who scurried in the sand, but I was able to catch up to him. Besides, I was a pretty good runner myself. I grabbed him by his shirt and tossed him around, shoving him on the sand. "It's not even your letter! I found it first!" Oh my god, and that's when I realised I sounded like the most childish 16-year-old ever. Even the little boy looked at me with amusement but I just caressed it off, definitely trying not to focus on those eyes or I, by no chance, would I get this bottle. Grasping the bottle, I grinned. I ran into the sea. Just when the water hit my torso, I turned around and folded my arms, smirking at the little boy. He just stood there and frowned. "Well? Aren't you going to come get it off me?" I said, staring at the boy's pessimistic face. He shook his head.
"I can't swim. And even if I could, I would probably drown by the time I got to where you were." He said which amused me a little. His words were a lot mature than mine. He was there telling me he might drown if he comes in the water whereas I was stood there waiting for him to catch me. I'm pretty thick.
The young boy began to walk away, his shoulders slumped down and I presumed that he was pretty upset. I saw him plant both hands on his face and run away, so I guess he was crying. A wave of guilt rushed past me. I swam out of the water and began running towards the boy. "Hey! Wait! Little boy-"
"Kat?" I heard Taylor say, with amusement. I turned around to see her stood there, with two ice creams. Marcus, Sally, Elena, And Jack were all stood there, with the same expression on their faces. I scratched the back of my head and slowly slipped the bottle into my pocket. I walked over to Taylor and took the ice cream from her, and I realised the expression on her face. You better fucking tell me what the fuck just happened. And with that, we both walked back to the others. I took a quick glance back at where the boy was running away from, but he was nowhere to be seen.
The rest of the day flew away pretty quick, and I walked home alone. Taylor's father came to pick her up and the others took the bus, but my house was just around the corner so I walked it. Everything was so confusing. The boy really wanted the letter, and me being the childish, stubborn idiot I am, I didn't give it to him. He was even crying, and I didn't run after him. And those... eyes. They could seduce anyone who walked passed him. Or was it me being a bit weird? Maybe his eyes weren't shining. Maybe it was the sun reflecting on them. Ah, everything was so confusing! I reached home in no time, and I made my way to my room. I wasn't in the mood to talk to my parents, and my little sister was sleeping, but she's only 2 months, how was I supposed to talk to her? oh and I definitely didn't want to talk to my brother. I tossed back onto my cosy blue bedding and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
