Chapter 5

Sharna and Val had made it back on tour with the rest of the pros and it was back to normal for them. It was now New Year's Eve and they were in Atlanta for the show tonight. Val and Sharna were still glued to each other's sides and flirting like usual. Laurie being the little sweetheart that she is asked if they were together because they were acting different around each other since after Christmas. Both laughed it off and said no though. The cast already had plans to go out for dinner and have fun after the show. The show went as smooth as always. Sharna and Val had their duet in the beginning but that was really all they danced together. Both of them wished they got to do more but they also liked dancing with other people. The last number had just finished and the girls were in the dressing room where it was strictly no boys allowed. Val appeared at the door of their dressing room.

'Val get out of here,' Lindsay told him.

'Ewww boys are gross,' Hayley joined in messing around with him.

'I just want Sharna and then I'll be out out your way.' Sharna got up from her chair avoiding all the looks that the girls were giving her and made her way outside with Val. They moved to a quieter hallway.

'What's up, what did you want me for?' Sharna asked leaning her shoulder against the wall facing Val.

'I just wanted to see you.' Val didn't really have a reason he just wanted to see Sharna. Sharna blushed and looked down at the ground. Val had been flirting way more and she was returning it.

'Well as much as I would love to stay here and talk I need to go get ready for tonight, I promise we can talk at dinner. I'll make sure to sit right beside you,' She gave him the infamous smile that made him melt, the one where her dimples showed.

'Ok but one thing, are you going to wear that black dress?' He'd remembered what she had said about wearing in on New Years Eve. He looked her up and down blatantly checking her out.

'Just for you I will.' She flirted back with him.

'Now good bye Valentin.' She said getting closer to his face to where she was almost whispering in his ear. She kissed his cheek and made her way back to the dressing room. Val stood there for a minute not really knowing what to do. The Valentin thing got him again. When Sharna got back they girls had all the questions in the world for her and she told them some but not all. She didn't want to do that yet in case they didn't ever become anything.

The cast was ready and all headed to the bar they had decided on. Just as she promised, Sharna sat beside Val and she did wear that black dress. Val discretely checked her out when he saw her and Sharna was the only one that saw.

'So you're trying to kill me right?' Val asked placing his hand in her thigh and whispered in her ear.

'Well what fun would that be.' She smiled back at him taking a sip of her drink. His hand on her thigh made her a little hot and she doesn't know if the alcohol was helping or she was just that attracted to him.

They ordered their food and made small talk amongst each other. When everyone's plates were empty some people made their way to the dance floor. Sharna had plans to but she wanted to talk to Val first.

'So who's your New Years kiss this year?' She asked knowing damn well his answer better her.

'I don't think I want one this year you know? Change it up a little.' He was messing with her and she knew it.

'Alright then I guess Alan's getting my kiss tonight then.' She went to get up from her chair and go to the dance floor but Val grabbed her hand and made her sit back down.

'You know there's no one else I'd rather kiss than you.' He smiled at her.

'No one else, what about Megan Fox? I mean she's pretty hot.'

'You know what I mean you goof. You're my New Years kiss and that's it.' Sharna liked him being demanding.

'Alright now come dance with me.' She grabbed his hand and pulled him to the dance floor.

The cast danced until they couldn't anymore. Val looked at his phone and it was 11:52. He looked around for Sharna and he saw her sitting with Lindsay and Sam. He couldn't take his eyes off her. Something about her tonight was just captivating to him, the dress obviously helped but it was something more than that. Sharna left Lindsay and Sam and sat back in her seat. She was a little too drunk but she pulled her phone out and replied to her texts and scrolled through social media.

'Hello gorgeous.' Val came out behind her and whispered in her ear. Sharna jumped not knowing who it was but she saw Val sit down beside her.

'You scared me.' She punched his arm.

'I'm sorry babe. Would you look at that it's 11:58.' Val said looking at his phone. Sharna was feeling a little more confident tonight so she got up and sat in his lap.

'This is the kissing position you like right? I can't remember it's been so long.' She said wrapping her arm around his neck. She knew all the little things that got to him. The TV's started the minutes countdown. Val and Sharna looked at each other until it got till around 30 seconds.

'Fuck I can't wait any longer.' Val said before connecting their lips. They had kissed before but the fireworks that they were both feeling was something completely new to both of them. They continued to kiss until everyone in the background started cheering and yelling happy New Years. They both started to smile into the kiss and Sharna eventually pulled away.

'Happy New Years babe.' Sharna said resting her forehead against his.

'Happy New Years gorgeous.' He said back giving her one last peck. They came out of their own little world and joined the rest of the cast wishing them a happy new year. Everyone had a glass of champagne and had their phones out filming everything. Everyone finished their drinks and started to make their way back to the hotel. They had a few days off and Sharna and Val were heading back to New Jersey since Peta was due in a day. Everyone made their way to their rooms while Val stayed behind with Sharna.

'Tonight was the most fun I've had in a while, thank you gorgeous.' Val said leaning on her hotel room door.

'I'm really liking this whole gorgeous thing you've started, but me too babe tonight was really great thank you. As much as I would love to invite you in and just cuddle we're both a little drunk and I don't want anything to ruin this so good night and I'll see you tomorrow.' Sharna leaned in to give him one last kiss.

'Night gorgeous.' Val said before leaving for his hotel room.
