If I could open my heart to let you see
All the secrets hidden deep within me
Would you turn away and run
Would you stay and hold me tighter tonight
If I could open my mind and let you in
I wonder what you would choose to see
The broken mess that lies within me
Or the truth I have hidden from you
If I could tell you all the things I want to say
All the words I keep under lock and key
Would I have the strength to let them free
Would I be too scared to make a sound
If I could loan you my eyes to let you see
The beauty I see when I look upon you
The shattered hopes and tattered dreams
The memories I wish we could create
If I could loan you my hands so that you could feel
The love I have for you, hidden where I dare not go
