Mireya Pov

I race straight through the gym and into the girls locker room. I'm already late, and pissed off from my encounter with The Almighty Fae.

I pull my bag off my bag and shove it into my locker.

'What's got your panties in a twist?' One of my best friends Saira Feryema, asked me, as she pulled her gym shirt over her head.

'The Almighty Fae.' I mumbled. Not that anyone would know exactly who I was talking about, but the locker room is full of fae girls as well as faerie girls.

'Oh yeah, The Almighty Fae. What an asshat.' Saira quipped.

'He was all, 'I can't believe you're smart, you're supposed to be a stupid faerie.' And then he got all wounded puppy when I snapped at him.' I huffed as I removed my shirt and pulled my gym shirt over my head and wings.

'Don't even get into it with him. We call him The Almightly for a reason. He's a popular fae. And as faeries, we are supposed to just take whatever the higher up ashats tell us too. And I don't do that, but I won't leave you alone so, don't make me have to get my ass kicked.' Saira responed.

I rolled my eyes at her, as I pulled my gym shorts on. Saira was tying her shoes.

'Where's Navya?' I asked, noticing that one of my other best friend's, was not in the locker room.

'She didn't come today. Lucky her. It's the stupid torture flying lesson.' Saira grumbled.

I nodded in agreement, as I finished tying my shoes and followed Saira out of the locker room. We were one of the last ones to leave.

Our teacher was already explaining the lesson, when we joined our group.

We had these lessons every two weeks, and in my opinion the lessons were all the same. Our teachers, there were two : one for males and one for females, would tell us to all stand on the line. The females would go before the males. And the faeries went before the faes, because the best is for the last.

I tuned out my teacher, Ms. Juileisa, as she gave us tips for flying better. I practiced enough at home, I knew the tips by heart.

I was the type of person whom never wanted to be caught of guard. And in my world it isn't easy. As a faerie everyone expects me to be stupid or something. So, when I was young, I made it my purpose to always be the best I could be. Even if I was the only one who would know.

'Everyone stand on the line!' Ms. Juileisa ordered, snapping me back to the present.

'Ready to lose?' Saira whispered.

The two of us had this competition thing, that our other friends didn't understand. We didn't want to beat the faes, we just wanted to beat eachother.

'You're on.' I whispered back, as I bent my legs slightly and bounced on the balls of my feat.

'On the count of three.'

'One.'

'Two.'

'Three.'

And we were off.

Until next time, enjoy this update, Kat.
