James POV
I was walking round the town planning to avenge Tim and beat up Lightman. I was like really angry and furious for what I had to do was make a plan. But I was thinking of what I could do when I met my old friend. HIs name was Carl (yep I know his name doesnt tell much) but yet there was something strange about him. And he called me said me to meet him in the middle of the forest.
I went there to meet him, it was sunny when I left home but suddenly as I reached the forest the sky was cloudy with no sun. I felt strange because I did not think the weather would be so strange.
"CARL!" I shouted his name in the forest hoping he would listen. Suddenly he jumped down a tree before me. "Hey James! Long time no see?"
I was a bit shocked to see how he was, he had pointed ears and a blunt nose and red eyes and a large head, almost like a bat.
"Hey Carl, nice to see you man, didn't meet you for some time." I said.
"you look troubled." He said.
"Well yeah I am, I mean uhh.... you know my friend Tim.." I didn't know how to bring it up.
"Let me guess..... Your friend Tim was beaten by two 12 year olds and when you went to face them, that Duskveil kid came up to challenge you?" He said like he had mind reading.
Me "How did you know?"
Him "Doesnt matter, whats more important is knowing your enemy. Ethan Lightman's a werewolf."
"A werewolf?" I did not really believe in werewolves but I thought they might exist.
"Prove it." I said to him, he put his finger on my head and I was lost in a dream. I saw Lightman changing into a werewolf and coming into a pack of them. All those boys I met earlier, those friends with that Duskveil kid were all werewolves. This made me fucking angry.
"Do you believe now?" Carl asked me.
"How did you do that?" I asked.
"I'm a vampire." He replied. I was not surprised.
"A vampire? Like Edward?" I asked with reference to twilight.
"NO!" He said. "I'm a REAL vampire, like in Dracula, like in Nosferatu, I have no reflection, no shadow, I can transform into a wolf or a bat, I can create a LIGHTNING STORM if I wish."
"Cool" I said. I liked twilight vampires but the way he described them I just fell in love with it. I can change into a bat, I can create lightning.
"Can you change me into a vampire?" I asked him.
"Sure, but it takes time, and it is painful." he said.
"Im ready" i said.
"Fine then. I will bite you now. It will take you between 3 to 4 weeks to turn into a vampire. At first you will get sick and then you will die and later when you are buried, you will rise as a vampire."
"Deal." He said as he bit me in my neck.
