[Name]

Away from Home, Part 5

You found that the gym wasn't what you expected.  First of all, it was freakin' huge.  Second, the room seemed to have different sections.  One section had black mats on the walls and floor.  The other sections also had mats, but with different colors.  You saw the other students walk into the locker rooms, so you did the same.

"[Name]!  Your locker's over here.  You're supposed to put on the training clothes and go back in the gym.  We're going to see where everyone's at and assign them training programs," Tifa said as you walked through the door.

"What the hell is she doing here?  Isn't she, like, in her twenties?"

After you got dressed, you joined the rest of the students in the gym.  You saw Tifa standing next to Cloud and his friend, Leon.  You figured they must be teaching due to the fact that they all held clipboards.

"[Name]! Aren't you excited?! We get to show off our skills!"  Yuffie exclaimed as she, Axel, Reno, and Zack walked up to you.  

"Alright everyone, some of you may have noticed the colored band on your t-shirts; the band corresponds with what section you will go to to be evaluated.  Please head over to those sections now," Leon announced before Axel could sexually harass you. 

You looked down at your sleeve and saw you had a white band outlined in black, so you headed over to the white section.  Axel went to the red section, Zack went to the grey section, and Reno and Yuffie went to the black section.

"Okay, the first sections we'll observe will be the red, black, and blue section.  Get with a partner and begin sparring,"

Wait, sparring?

"What kind of school is this?  Are they training us to be child soldiers?  I did not sign up for this."

You looked over at the black section and saw the students prepare to fight with lethal weapons.

"WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL IS THIS?!  WHO LET YUFFIE WIELD THAT THING?!"

As you worried for your safety, the red and blue sections started sparring.

"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

No words came to your mind, just the feeling of alarm and confusion.

Over in the red and blue sections, the student started CONTROLLING FIRE AND WATER OHMYGOD.  You saw Axel throw flames at his opponent.  This can't be happening. This can't be happening.  This can't be happening.  You were frozen with fear as your mind raced.  You imagined what would happen if they found you trying to escape.  Images and you burning alive, getting snapped in half, and other torture methods flashed through your mind.

"Hey [Name], are you feeling alright?  You look a little pale."

You're eyes snapped over to Tifa, who had walked over to you.  You slowly shook your head.

"Hmm, well here.  Take this and go see the nurse; I hope you feel better," she said as she handed you an excuse note.

You nodded and walked out of the gym mechanically.  It was like your feet had a mind of their own as you made your way out the school doors and passed the iron fence.  The panic inside you increased as your steps grew faster.  And faster.  And faster, until you were running to god knows where.  Nothing made sense anymore and you were damned if you had to stay on this island one more minute.  Screw coming up with plans, you had to get out of here.

You dashed off the sidewalk and into some woods.  You had long passed the residence area and were hoping no one would find you.  

"Who are these people?!  Are they even people?  They might be monsters for all I know."

Tears of frustration and fear streaming down your face, you tripped over a root and collapsed on the ground.  You lied their for eternity, wishing this was just some bad dream; a nightmare where you could just wake up and never have to think about spiky-haired child soldiers who could kill you at any moment.

But after lying on the ground for some time, you realized that wasn't going to happen and walked back out to the street.

THE HOTEL HAS WIFI!!!!!
