Away from Home, Part 9

You don't know what it was, but life on Destiny Islands was more enjoyable.  You never realized how beautiful the beaches were and how the sun was always shining.  Your new friends also made you appreciate living here.

 Smiling, you got out of bed and got ready.  You didn't notice that Namine wasn't in the room until you went to tell her "Good morning".  On her bed, however, was a note.

[Name],

Sorry I left without you!!  I just felt like you deserved to sleep in a bit.  You can meet me and some of the girls at the mall to get some stuff for the football game.  This time I left directions!

Namine

Soon you were out the door on your way to the mall.  This time you remembered to bring your door key.  It was a nice day out, as always, so walking to the mall actually improved your mood.   The way to the mall was very simple, all you had to do was keep walking down the street in the opposite direction from downtown.  All throughout your walk, you couldn't help but notice your thoughts returning to a certain someone.

Cloud

There was something about this guy that just seemed to draw you to him.  It must be his eyes, they seem to captivate you like a moth to flame.  Now that you think of it, his whole personality seemed to mesh well with yours.  You were just fascinated with the mysterious aura that surrounded him.  You would jump at the opportunity to get to know him more, but there was one problem: Tifa.  Even though you were certain that Cloud would never do anything like cheat on a partner, you didn't want to overstep your boundaries.  After all, Tifa was your adopted second cousin and you would never do anything to hurt family.

 Roxas

Even though it was a bit difficult to understand what he was saying most of the time, you thought it was kinda cute how nervous he got around you.  While he rarely made eye contact, when he did it was like looking at two shining sapphires.  You also liked how you made him laugh the other day.  The rest of your walk was spent trying to find new ways to see Roxas' smile.

 Axel

Ah yes, the player.  You understood why everyone called him that, he was very flirtatious.  But you had a feeling that deep down, he was more than that.  You could see it in his emerald eyes that there was more to him than cheesy pick-up lines.  This fiery redhead intrigued you and you secretly hoped that you would come across new opportunities to get to know him more.

Riku

Poor Riku.  You couldn't help but feel bad for him after he told you about his fan club.  Now that you think of it, those girls who were glaring at you in the hallway must've been his fans.  Well, jealousy certainly doesn't suit them.  You had to admire how well Riku was handling the stress of school on top of the stress of being stalked by teenage girls.  You just wish he could relax.  Maybe you could do something to help him?

Cid

 You wish you got to see Cid more.  Maybe you'll have to start swinging by his mechanic shop after school.  You just found it so interesting how he could fly almost every aircraft known to man.  His charming accent may also be another reason why you enjoyed talking to him.  Seriously, what is with men with accents that just makes them so.... Intriguing.  You also liked it when he called you "darlin''".
