When I catch up with the rest of them in the next clearing the first one to hug me is Steph. I obviously hug her back. Then, Bear and Nyx run up to me and the both practically jump on me. I try not to look at Jericho all to much but, he comes up to me and shakes my hand, "Good to see you're okay."
Steph nods in agreement and asks, "Who or what was it?"
I scratch the back of my neck, "I couldn't see what it was but, whatever it was it's dead now.
Jericho looks at me concerned but, Bear pipes in before he can get his thoughts out, "What now guys? Do we stay here for the night or keep walking...?"
I think for a moment, "We should stay here. Jericho, get wood to build a fire and Nyx go with him please. Bear, find berries around here we are going to need to eat something. Steph, you and I are going to go find a stream and fill the bottles with water for all of us."
Everyone nods in agreement and goes their separate ways to get the things needed.

Steph and I are walking through the woods following the slight moss as a sign of water nearby but, neither of us here water. We continue walking in silence for a good amount of time when Steph asks, "What are we Damion?"
I pause and blush slightly, "what do you mean?"
She looks away but, answers, "I mean... are we together or not?"
At the question, my body tenses up and I stop, my face as red as an apple, "Steph... I really do like you, just with me being immortal... we wouldn't grow old together. We are of two different worlds, hell I could be your great great great great great great great great grandfather and we would never know...."
Her eyes light with anger, "Have you noticed something Damion? I can't get hurt! What does that tell you!?"
My crimson red eyes darken to a blood red, "Steph... to be completely honest, with everything going on I have been worried about protecting everyone, not noticing if you can get hurt or not. Over these few months, I have seen more of why you and Bear became friends and in this world... there isn't much time for love or passion anymore, not since I woke back up."
Steph stays silent and tears come to her eyes so I continue, "I don't want you to get hurt getting too close to me. You mean to much to me."
Before I say anymore she answers, "Why do you think I'm crying right now! I love you Damion and you don't see it! I'm going back. Get the water yourself!"
After she storms off, I stand there and stare at the tree in front of me. Everything that has happened I can't lose her now. I can't lose her ever.
Soon enough I keep walking. I keep following the moss and it's getting more growth as I move through the forest.
After a few minutes of walking I find the stream. I start filling the bottles when I hear twigs break behind me. I freeze and clench my fists. The thing behind me slowly gets closer to my person when I finally materialize my sword in my hand and turn around, "Awe Damion no need to greet me like this."
I stare at the woman in front of me, "How are you still alive?"
"What do you mean?"
"I killed you... 486 years ago..."
"Doesn't mean I can't come back. Remember, I'm a Demon. Only way to kill me is to be-head me but, that makes me feel like i was being thought of all these years." She smirks.
"What are you smirking at? Only reason I remember it is because you were my wife. Until you turned on me."
"Damion don't you remember demons are still married after death unless ended before hand but, Damion I'm still alive. What does that tell ya?"
"I should kill you again but, permanently this time?"
"Oh Damion honey don't talk like that because you know I will be back. Don't you worry i already took the liberty of divorcing us under the books so there was no big scene. I saw you are falling in love with a human anyways so, I figured you would be better that way."
I stay silent. Not knowing what to say to her now, "Haley, you need to leave now. We can't be near each other. It's too dangerous for you."
"First you wanted to kill me now you're worried about me? How convenient. Now what could this be about? I knew being with you would have been dangerous so whats the difference now"
"The difference is, these people know how to kill demons and these people won't stop unless they know you are dead! Now, leave you have a life to live I don't. Not anymore."
"What about your sister?"
I freeze, "Don't bring her into this. When we find Nyxs father I'm finishing something and leaving."
"And by 'finish something' you mean kill Jericho?"
"What... How do you know that?"
"I know many things Damion and don't think for a second I don't."
I stare at her wondering what I should do next but, I can't seem to figure it out. I haven't seen her in so long and now that I'm face to face with her I have no words or anything. I thought I had killed her but, apparently not. The funniest part about this is that she thinks that I had forgotten her when in reality I only forgot what she looked like. It's like she is plotting revenge but, I can't notice it...
She walks up to me and looks into my eyes, "Damion I'm not here to hurt you. I just wanted to see you again."
"How is that so hard to believe Amelia! You come up behind me and scare the crap out of me and you think I'm gonna believe you have no intent to hurt me?! Nice try. Just leave, now."
She bows her head and starts to walk away, "I want you to know I only looked for you to tell you one last time that I loved you but, your feeling obviously went away."
After she disappeared I sat there staring at the stream and thinking how she knew where I was or how she knew to find me in that particular spot at that particular time. It's like she knew where I was gonna be but, how could she? There was no way she could have known unless she was telepathic or knew someone who was telepathic... Could she have contacted him? There isn't any possible way she did.
After thinking a bit I fill the rest of the water bottles and return back to the others.
