The next morning I woke up, now only good guys. I just need to find the right one. I looked in the mirror and my eyes fell on a picture of me and James, we looked so happy together. I slowly touched it and caressed the picture. Flashes of memories came back to me and I was stuck in a daydream. James and I were at our special spot, just under a big oak tree. I laid between his legs and he had his arms wrapped around me. "I love you more than anyone on this planet, don't forget that. Whatever happens." He insisted and I looked up to him. "And I love you, I will never forget it. We stay together to the end." I told him and he held out his pinkie. "To the end?" He asked and I smiled. "To the end and even further." I told him and he brought me in for a kiss.
"Your highness." Anna called me and the picture fell to the ground, breaking into peace. I gasped and tried to clean it up, but Anna held me away. "Don't worry, miss, I'll take care of it." She promised me and I watched her colliding the pieces. "Can the picture go to?" She asked me. I almost said no, but could stop myself. I had my selection, James was over and there was no chance we were ever gonna be together again. "Yes." I told her and she eyed me for a while, but did. "What do you think about a good massage after your day, miss?" She asked and I smiled. "Something to look forward to." I said and she smiled. I walked to breakfast. The guys weren't there yet, but my family was. "Who would you like to join you?" Mom asked me. One of the sirs could sit next to me and would have breakfast. I thought about, I wanted one of my top ten. Mostly Lucas or Shawn. But j was gonna save the, for the last. I wanted someone who I liked less first. "Sir Luke." I told her and she nodded. "I don't remember him." She told me. "Reason one. Reason two, the ones I'm into less I'll date first." I told her. "That's actually pretty smart." Benjamin told me. "I'm smart." I reminded him. "Haha, you're so funny." He said sarcastically. "Zara." I said and he turned in his mood. "I miss her." He pouted. "Belle." Mom said, trying to hide her smirk. She kissed his forehead and the guys just came in. When they all sat down mom stood up, it was tradition the queen invited them over. Because she was normally the only woman in the prince his life and it was seen as a symbol. I'm not a guy, but my mom is my favorite woman alive. "Everyday at breakfast, lunch and dinner one of you can join Belle, to get to know each other better. The first one is sir Luke." Mom said and the guys all looked at him. He walked over wearing a proud smile, I chuckle a bit. I sat next to my dad and Luke sat next to me. "Good morning, your highness." He greeted and I smiled. "Good morning, sir Luke. Did you sleep well?" I asked and he smiled. "The best I ever have. I think I'm falling in love with the mattress." He told me and I smiled. "Try not to, I wouldn't like a husband that would love a mattress more than me." I told him. "That's not hard, you're beautiful. Loving you isn't hard." He told me. "Thank you, but do you really think that because I'm beautiful you could fall for me. Don't you think it's about more?" I asked, he shrugged. "Maybe, I'm not specialized in love. But I know for sure beauty has a role in it. Would you ever consider me if I would wear glasses?" He asked me looking at Sebastian, who was talking to Lucas. "My dad wears glasses and I think people with glasses are cute. But that's your opinion." I told him, wondering what he had against Sebastian. "Can be, but some are just ugly without them or with them." He said taking a big bite of his toast. I tried to get of the topic. "Yesterday you told me you loved lacrosse. I don't know a lot about it, can you tell me more?" I suggested and he grinned and started to talk nonstop about it. I wished I never asked him that question. I had to wait until my dad was done with breakfast, I was spending the day with him. Actually all my days with him, he was slowly making me ready for the real deal. But he kept talking to mom and they could go on for centuries. So I secretly nudged him and he turned around. "Yes?" He asked, Luke was listening. "What are we doing today?" I asked and he remember it all of the sudden. "Lots of work and your mother distract me again." He said. "Liar." Mom accused him and he gave her a big kiss. "Oh, sorry, do you and sir Luke want to talk more?" Dad asked and I looked at Luke. "Do you mind?" I asked and he shook his head. "No, thank you for letting me join." He told me and I smiled. "You're welcome, goodbye sir Luke." I said and walked behind my dad. I walked past the guys, who sensed me walking by. "Good morning, your highness." Lucas told me and I smiled. "Good morning, sir Lucas." I said and walked further, he looked me after. When we exit the room, dad gave me a teasing look. "Good morning, sir Lucas." He said in a girly voice, I playfully pushed him. "Leave me." I told him, he laughed and laid his arm around me.
It was finally lunch time and dad gave me a lot of work, but I finished the half of it. He said that was really good, so I went with what he said. "Sir Dylan, Belle would like your company." Mom told him and he sat down next to me, we chatted for a bit and even he made a bad comment about Sebastian. "Are you and Luke friends?" I wondered. "Yeah, he, me and Isaac we have been since kindergarten." He told me and I nodded, the next one was Isaac, I would ask him about Isaac. "Oh, won't it ruin the friendship?" I asked he shrugged. "If we would loose, we would still be happy for the other. We're just best friends, we're like brothers." He said and I smiled. That was sweet, but what had this brothers against Sebastian?
At dinner I asked for Isaac. He looked sweet, but also he made a comment about Sebastian. "Do you know Sebastian?" I asked and he grimaced a bit, he didn't even tried to hide it. "We were in the same school. Can't believe he actually made it." He told me and I frowned. "Why is that?" I asked, trying to get as much as possible information. "I didn't knew the new prince could be a nerd." He told me chuckling, I nodded my head. I kept my mouth, which made it awkward.
The next day classes started. I stood next to mr. Wright, their teacher. It was only for the ones that were still in their high school. "Okay, gentlemen, since we don't want you to miss out on school, we provided an tutor to make sure you pass your year." I explained and some grimaced. "I know school can be boring. But be warned, I love a smart man." I told them and those grimaces disappeared. "Mr. Wright this is your new class." I told him and he nodded. "Let's get started." He said snd I left. "Good luck." I told them. The other guys were waiting for me in the hallway. "You gentlemen are graduated and study different subjects. And you may wonder how we will arrange that? Well I found a perfect solution. You'll study on your own and I'll let one of your professors come over a few times a week. You can study in this room." I told them as they followed me. I opened the room, it was an library with a lot of tables and hundreds of books. "Can we read those books?" Caleb asked, I remembered he was a bookworm. "Of course, they're yours." I told them and he looked like he was in heaven, I found it adorable. "What if you don't go to college?" Shawn asked and he was the only one. "What would you like to do?" I asked him. "What do you have to offer?" He asked back, raising his eyebrows. "I have the perfect thing for you." I told him and he nodded. "I'm impressed." He said and I chuckled a bit. "So is everything clear?" I asked and they all nodded. "Thank you." Oliver told me, he was sometimes too kind. "You're welcome. Shawn." I thanked and Shawn followed me.
"Woah." Shawn said as he said behind the piano, his fingers slowly touched it. "It was a gift from the first king, my great great and so on great grandfather. He gave it to his wife, the first selected. She was a musician and it has been in the family ever since. That's why all princess need to sing." I explained and he pulled his hands away and stood up. "Oh, sorry." He apologized. "Why are you apologizing?" I asked confused. "Well it's an old piano and it means a lot to your family, I don't want to break it." He told me and I smiled softly. "You won't, it broke down hundreds of times. It's an old one, we get it fixed every year." I explained and he nodded sitting back down. "This is the perfect thing for me. I was kind of scared I would have to do without music." He confessed. "I'm happy you like it. If you would like to excuse me I need to get back to work." I told him and he nodded, playing softly on the piano. I walked to the door. "Thanks again." Shawn said snd I gave him a smile before walking to my office...
