Chapter 9

Nicole's POV

I am back home, getting ready for bed when I heard a knock on the door. "Come in." I said.

By brother Nate came in and asked "Hey, are you sure you will be able to sleep alone?"

"I will be fine, Nate."

"Are you sure? You can sleep in my room, it will be like when we were kids and we used to share a bedroom."

"Nate."

"Sorry, I just want to make sure my little sister is alright."

"I will be fine, but thank you."

"Ok, just call me if you need anything." He said as he left and closed the door.

As soon as he left I fell asleep.

"So let me repeat myself, break up with Brody, be my girlfriend and I will let you go." Jake said.

"Never."

He slapped me on my cheek and started crying.

"Will you be my girlfriend or not?" He said as he kept on slapping me.

"NEVER!!!"

Soon I woke up and realized it was just a nightmare but as soon as I woke up Nate barged in and asked "Hey, are you okay?"

"Yea, I am fine."

"You were screaming 'NEVER' and you are still breathing heavily."

"Its nothing, I just had a nightmare."

"It had something to do with you being kidnapped by Jake didn't it?"

"Yes."

"I think it is better that you sleep with me tonight."

"Nate, there is no n-"

"I am not asking you, you are sleeping in my room and that is final."

"Fine, I will get my pillow and come."

The next morning,

I woke up and went downstairs to see that Brody was with my parents and Nate.

"Hey Brody, what are you doing here?"

"Nothing, Nate called me this morning and told me about your nightmare."

"Seriously Nate? Brody, there is no problem I am fine."

"I beg to differ actually, you were screaming in the middle of the night." Nate said.

"Mom, can you please tell these two I am fine."

"Sweetie, I agree with them, I was also very worried." Mom said.

"Dad, can you at least help me out here?"

"I am sorry, but no because even I agree with them."

"People, there is no reason to worry, I am perfectly fine."

"Honey, how about you go outside for a while and get some fresh air, it will be good for you." Mom suggested.

"Mom, there is no need for that, like I said before, I am fine."

"Nicole, I think your mom is right, come outside for a while, it will be good for you." Brody said.

"Fine, I will go change and come." I said as I went up and got dressed.

I came down and said "I am ready to go."

"Perfect, let's go." Brody said.

Brody and I got into the car and I asked him "Where are we going?"

"Lets go to the park, it will be nice for you to get some fresh air."

"Ok."

At the Park,

Brody and I were talking and having fun. Brody went to get us both a corn dogs . All of a sudden, a memory came back from when Jake kidnapped me, I stood up and started calling Brody but he was not anywhere near, and I started breathing heavily and soon I completely blacked out.

Brody's POV

It took me a long time to get the corndog because there was a long line. But when I came back I saw a group of people surrounding the area we were sitting in, when I finally got through the group I saw that Nicole fainted, I dropped the corn dogs and carried Nicole to the nearest hospital.
