Chapter 12

Nicole's POV

We are at the carnival now and I just couldn't help but ask "Brody, why did you want to come to the carnival all of a sudden?"

"I don't know, I mean our first date was at a carnival so relive those memories."

"Our first date, when you made me go on the ferris wheel, yea I was scared to death."

"It was hilarious."

"Yea, no it was not." I said and Brody just chuckled and that is when I saw that face I never wanted to see and that reminded me of Jake.

"Mindy." I slowly muttered.

"Hey Nicole." She said.

I could just feel those memories of when I was kidnapped flashing back. "Nicole, Nicole, are you alright?" I could hear Brody ask.

I took a deep breath and tried to gain my consciousness and replied "Umm...yea..I am fine." Then I turned to Mindy and asked "What do you want?"

"Nicole, I just wanted to say I am sorry about everything that I did to you and also I am sorry about what Jake did to you, I had no idea that this is what he was planning all along."

"How am I supposed to believe you?" I asked.

"Listen, I am not expecting you to forgive me right now, I just want you to know that I am truly sorry and in the future maybe we could be friends again."

"I will keep that in mind and maybe one day in the future we can be friends."

"Thanks, that's all I ask." She said as she walked away.

"Do you actually believe her?" Brody asked.

"To be honest, I am not sure if I trust her," I said "but right now I don't care, I just want to spend some time with my boyfriend." I said as I wrapped my arms around his body and laid my head on his chest.

"Yea," He chuckled "come on, let's go to the ferris wheel."

"No, please not again." I begged him.

"Oh come on, it will be fun."

Somehow he managed to drag me to the ferris wheel, and the higher we went the more scared I got.

When we were at the highest point I didn't let got of Brody at all, I was hugging very tightly. As soon as we got out of the ferris wheel, believe me I have never felt more relieved and I could hear Brody laughing behind me.

"See I told you, you would be fine."

"Fine, that was not fine, just like the first time I was scared to death." 

He was still laughing, I started hitting his arm and I could see very well that it didn't hurt him one bit.

"Moving on, can we go to a restaurant to eat, I am starving?" I asked.

"Sure, we can what restaurant do you want to go to?"

"I am okay with any restaurant, I just want to eat some food."

"Fine let's go"

We went to a Mexican restaurant and I was so impatient, because we still haven't got our food yet.

"What is taking them so long?" I asked.

"Patience is a virtue."

"Well I don't have that virtue, I am starving and I just want food."

"I swear, sometimes you can be such a child."

"I take that as a compliment." 

"Yay finally they got the food." I said as I saw the waitress the waitress bringing food.

As soon as they got the food, I started eating and Brody was laughing at me as if I was a child, I just rolled my eyes and continued eating my food.
