The Challenge

When we got to the dining room Mrs.Maguire was waiting for us. "Nice to see you to being social and civil to each other. I have seen many candidates at each other's throats throughout my years in this job."She said.

Simon and I laughed. "Sit sit dinner will be out at any time now. I hope you two are not picky eaters."She said. "I'm not but I can't speak for Fallon."Said Simon. "I'm not when you have six brothers you don't have that luxury." I said. "Both of you tell me about your family."Mrs.Maguire said. "Like I said I have five older brothers Keon, Eliseo,Trystan, Agustin,  Zaire, Lathan. I also have a twin brother his name is Finnick. I have a really big family."I said. "I had three brothers two of them died and I don't want to talk about how and when. My third brother was chosen for this a few years ago."said Simon. "What is his name?"Mrs.Maguire asked. "His name is Edan Blake."he said.

Then a few people came out carrying are dinner before Mrs.Maguire could continue to push Simon for information he didn't want to give her. We ate all of dinner in silence only broken when Mrs.Maguire would ask us a question that would go unanswered. When dinner was over I quickly pocketed my clean knife. I have always been good a pocketing things without anyone noticing. So I decided to use that talent here now.

I stood from my seat and said "Goodnight I will see you in the morning." Simon stood as I left the dining car and said "I am leaving to. Thank you for dinner." and then rushed to catch up to me. He caught up to me and said "I saw you take something what was it?" "How did you see that I picked anything up?"I said. "My brother Maddox use to be a pretty good pick pocket so I have learned to watch every ones hands very very closely."He said. "Okay I pocketed a knife."I said. "Why?" He said. "I took it in case I need it because I don't know what The Challenge really is just like everyone else from a colony and it scares me."I said almost yelling. "Fallon please calm down you are not the only one scared about The Challenge I am to." He said as he hugged me. I am not sure why he hugged me but I liked it and needed it. "I am sorry I yelled"I said and I meant it. "Hay Fallon..."Simon trailed off. "Yah what Simon?"I asked "Oh never mind it's stupid."Simon Told me. "No Simon tell me."I said angrily. "Just forget it nevermind."He said. "Okay I am going to bed then good night Simon." I said frustrated.
