The Challenge

There were kids everywhere and trains to. Simon and I stepped of of the train and onto the platform and we were almost immediately trampled. Simon held my hand I tried to shake it out of his grip but I couldn't and the longer it stayed there the more I enjoyed it. We slowly walked hand and hand behind Mrs.Maguire in hopes not to be completely trampled. As we walked I saw all kinds of kids some dressed like Simon and I and others dressed in clothes so expensive the money they cost could have fed my whole family for at least a year. These kids must have been from bigger colonies closer to the center of The Great Government. Mrs.Maguire said something that I could not make out either because of all the noise or because I was in awe with how many people were in such a small space. I had never seen so many people in one place at the same time. The closest thing to this caos back home was if an emergency meeting alarm went off. That meant that everyone would be trying to reach town square at the same time and that was not even close to the chaos I saw here now. I stared at the crowds as Simon drug me behind him as he followed Mrs.Maguire. Simon and Mrs.Maguire finally stopped at a tall grand doorway. "This is the passage." said Mrs.Maguire. We will walk through this door you will have your bags checked and then you will receive your housing building and number and then you will wait for your room mate and either there official or I will take you to your new living quarters.She said. Simon and I walked in the door and a large bearded man immediately took my bag from my hand and a small lady with dark back hair and round rim glasses fought my other bag off my shoulder. I tried to take my bags back but the bearded man told me not to fight it that they were just going to check my bags put my name on it and I could pick it up after I was assigned my room and roommate. That was when Simon's hand was ripped out of mine. The black haired lady grabbed me and said we found a few things in your bags that we need to talk about. I was trying to think about what the "things" might be but I could not come up with an answer. She took me into a small room and told me to sit down at a table she sat across from me and I immediately wanted to know what I had already done wrong. I have only been at the Challenge for a few minutes and I had already messed up. The black haired lady pulled out my communicator out and said items like this are not allowed but since you remind me of some one who was very special to me I will let you off with a warning and you can have it back put it in your bag as long as you tell no one because who ever has the other half is probably already missing a girl like you. The lady told me to stand she took my hand and said my name is Nina let's get back to the main room before that boy of yours thinks something bad happened to you he seemed pretty attached to you. I tried to tell her I was just not good with crowds and that Simon was just making sure that Mrs.Maguire did not loose me but. She just said I know hun and gently put a hand over my mouth.
