Alex POV

I stared at my phone constantly. It's been 2 weeks since I first met Jade and I'd not contacted her yet. I was scared, constantly having an internal battle with myself over thinking whether to drop her a text or not.

After finally getting bored I quickly type a quick message, 'hey, it's Alex.' My thumb hovered over the send button still considering whether to send it or not. I closed my eyes before opening them quickly hearing a sound from my phone which meant I'd sent a message. Well shit.

After 20 minutes of glaring at the unlit screen it vibrated. Scared of what is received I slowly unlocked my phone. 'Hey Alex long time no see. How's it going dude??' Dude? Really? A girl just called me dude, oh ok. Smiling I quickly tapped out a reply. 'Im great thanks and yourself?'

I felt a warm feeling inside. A sense of relief washed over me as I realise that she wasn't annoyed or pissed with me and it made me feel great.

Having zoned out I was quick to notice Dammit blasting from my phone. Coming back to life Jade's name flashed on the screen. Quickly answering it I panicked.

'Sup?' Came a voice down the phone. Pulling myself back together I squeaked out a small reply.

'Hi.'

'Hey so are you free later about 2?' I didn't know what to say.

'Er...er...erm I think why?' I stuttered like crazy. Jade laughed.

'Well I'm bored and I finish work at 2 so..... You're coming out with me.' Was that a demand? I was speechless a woman just told me what to do.

'Sure, well I guess I'll see you then?'

'Yup, well gotta go, in a bit.' And with that she hung up.

Something confused me about that girl. I mean she's so different from the rest. It's like she'd be my best mate and we'd make dick jokes and it wouldn't be awkward. Something about her intrigued me to find out more.
