Nick helped me get up from the ground. He assisted me to an empty bedroom in the odd compound I was in. I looked at him staring into his eyes and said, "I can do the rest." He nodded his head. Then he switched the light off, closed the door and left. I dragged myself into the bed. Pain surged through my hands and legs. I slipped into the bed, pulled the sheets over me, and placed my head on the pillow. Just doing this made me grimace because of how much pain I was in. I closed my eyes, but the shock from mental electricity was too much for me. So instead of sleeping, I thought about all that had happened tonight and knew that this wasn't going to be an easy journey to the truth. Then another thought popped into my mind. Learning the truth was never easy to learn.
