Chapter 18

Vinnie Vanetti came in with a menacing look on his face, & he wasn't alone.

Not far behind him was Renee Young, & she seemed just as angry as he was.

Both had a reason.

Kristie's GMA interview had aired the day before, & she was receiving tons of support from people on social media including celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez among others.

In that moment, however, Dean, Kristie, RJ, & Becky all braced themselves for what was about to happened upon seeing Vinnie & Renee.

As soon as he locked eyes on Dean, Vinnie made his move.

He attempted to hit Dean with a right hook, but Dean dodged it. Vinnie wasn't fazed.

"I should've beaten the shit out of you, Moxley, when I had the chance," said Vinnie, referring to Dean by the last part of his original ring name.

However, Dean wasn't fazed. Nothing really did anyway.

"Remember what I told you, fucker? You wouldn't stand a chance against me," growled Dean, referring to the night he had met Kristie, as he got himself ready.

Vinnie then decided to strike.

He went after Dean with multiple punches, all of which he missed. At 6'4, Dean was simply taller & was also quicker then Vinnie, who was 6'1.

Renee watched as the man she was falling for attempted to beat up her ex. She was so angry with Dean over him being with Kristie that she decided to do nothing until she at least had a chance to take a shot at her enemy.

Then things changed.

Dean got Vinnie with a punch of his own & knocked him down. He glared at his enemy as he watched him groan in pain from the vicious shot to the right side of his face.

However, Vinnie wasn't done yet.

Once he got up, he shoved Dean out of his way & went straight for Kristie, who had RJ right beside her with his arm around her shoulders protectively.

"Get out my way, twerp," Vinnie growled at RJ. "Make me, asshole," said RJ. The brothers just stared at each other after that for a moment.

Then Vinnie shoved RJ out of the way & grabbed Kristie by the throat.

"You little bitch. Always getting what you want when you damn well know that you don't deserve it," said Vinnie. "You are the stupidest person I have ever known. You are nothing special. You can't wrestle, & you got everything because you're nothing but a pretty face."

Kristie knew that he was lying so she decided to let him have it.

"No," she said as she tried to use every bit of strength she had to loosen his grip on her throat. "You're the one who's nothing special. You're the one who's stupid. You hate me because I'm better then you. You hate me because you knew that I was going places & was willing to put in the work to do all of that while you fucked any woman who even looked at you. Isn't that how you snagged Renee?"

The next thing Kristie knew after she had said all of that was her being dropped to the floor & Becky helping her up to her feet.

Dean had tackled Vinnie to the ground & held him in an old submission move of his from his CZW days, the Fujiwara armbar.

Renee looked on in horror as she watched everything unfold before her. She then looked at Kristie.

"What the fuck are you looking at, Renee?" she said with a menacing look on her face. Renee just trembled in fear.

She then realized that she needed to leave so she did just that.

When the police arrived, Dean, Kristie, RJ, & Becky told them everything. Vinnie was then handcuffed & taken out of the building.

Dean then took Kristie in his arms & held her tight.

"I love you," he whispered to her. "I love you too," she whispered back.

The drama concerning Vinnie was over, but it wasn't completely over yet.
