Mia's POV
Mia! Mia! Help me please! Help! I'm in the same school as you! Remember my name! It's May!
I woke up to a start, gasping for air. My heart was palpitating in my chest. My breaths were sharp and fast. After a few minutes, I calmed down and took in all my surroundings. Why did everything look so wierd? How did I get to the hospital? I tried to recall what happened, "You have beautiful eyes you know?" Brandon said. Suddenly I couldn't see anymore. M... My left eye! Brandon slashed my left eye! I touched the area where my left eye was, it was bandaged. I stood up, almost lost my balance and walked to the bathroom. I looked into the mirror, my eye was bandaged. There was a scar of a slash on top and below the bandage. How long have I been asleep I couldn't have slept long enough for a scar to form? I can't believe what Brandon did. Why didn't my eye hurt though? I walked back to the hospital and went back to my bed. I looked around the bed for the call button. I saw a white button with the word button on it and tried to press. I missed. I tried again. And missed. I slammed my fist on the button in frustration. "Yes Mia? What do you need help for?" The nurse immediately came. "I want something to cover my scar." I replied. "Follow me please." I stood up and followed her. She went to a shelf and took out 4 different things. An eye patch, A black cat mask, a plastic eye cover and sunglasses. I looked at all the items carefully and chose the black cat mask. It looked the most terrifying and it could make me look emotionless. "Are you sure? That is a restraint too you know? The strongest restraint actually." The nurse asked concerned. "Ya I'm sure. Please remove my bandage." I said assuringly. The nurse gently took off my bandage and put my mask on. It felt exactly like a restraint, that weird feeling of my power trying to be stopped. I put my hand out and lit my fire, it took a little more effort but it was easy. I closed my palm to extinguish the fire. "H...how?" The nurse muttered. "Nothing can hold me back." I simply replied and walked out of the hospital, wearing my uniform. I walked to the toilet and looked at my face. The mask fit perfectly, I could clearly see my reflection. The mask was very light and there weren't any eyeholes but I could see outside. I walked out of the building to go to the classroom, it was about 10am so lessons were still going on. When I was outside the classroom, I kicked the door open. The classroom suddenly became very silent. I walked to the back of the class and sat at my usual seat, the last bench. At the left corner of the classroom. I sat down and put my head on the table. I heard the teacher clear his throat and continue talking. "Get out." I simply said. The whole class turned quiet again. "GET OUT!" I raised my voice. I stood up. I saw the teacher a run out of the classroom like a coward. "Mia... " A familiar voice beside me said my name. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT!" I grabbed the collar of the person's shirt. It was Brandon, the person I wanted to see the least. I stared for a moment, knowing that he couldn't see my eyes. I was still holding onto his collar. My anger faded away and I threw him onto the floor. I saw the worry in his eyes. I turned and stepped out of the classroom. "Where do you think you're going Ms Laurence?" The discipline teacher was infront of me. He was staring straight at me. "Tch." I said and walked past him.

Brandon's POV
When I saw Mia enter the classroom, I was horrified by what I saw. Mia was wearing a cat mask. A restraint. The strongest restraint in the academy. The stupid teacher started talking after Mia got to her seat and after a few seconds Mia screamed at the teacher. I went up to her and she grabbed my collar. She had every single right to be furious at me, to hate me. I slashed her left eye. Making her half blind. And she could never recover, according to Kane. I woke up on the floor, my head hurting and with a pool of blood infront of me. "Mia..." I simply said. I saw Jose standing infront of me staring. "You really did it this time Brandon. Mia may hate you forever you know?" Jose told me with a serious face. "What did I do this time?" I questioned with a shaky voice. "You slashed her left eye. You see the blood infront of you? It's her blood." I shook my head. "I...I don't believe you. You're lying to me." I was on the verge of tears, my eyes were glassy and I was shaking. My heart was aching and my head was throbbing. I couldn't have done that to the girl I love, it wasn't possible. Never in my life I would do that. I stared at the mask. Now it was almost impossible to read her. I could feel the whole class staring. She then dropped me onto the floor and walked out. I just laid there for awhile, I wanted to run after her but I didn't have the guts to do so. I knew that she would go to the rooftop garden, that was her least hated place in school. "Go after her man. Don't be a pussy and stay there." My best friend, Eugene said. I stood up and ran to the rooftop garden. I saw her sitting behind a bush. I could tell from her silent sniffles that she was crying silently. She wasn't wearing her mask. "Mia.." I mumbled. For now, I just wanted to be at her side, to comfort her. But how to comfort her? I was the one that hurt her.She wiped her tears, put on the mask and faced me.
