"Well, look on the bright side..." "What bright side?" "... At least you met me." We started laughing and then we spent the rest of the day talking about everything, our parents, the things we like, we even talked about what we wanted to be when we get out of high school. I just loved today!

Koa's POV:

Today was one of the best days of my life, If not the best. From when I first entered the classroom and saw her, to the time where I offered to give her a ride, and she gave me her number (incase I needed help with anything.) I couldn't deny that I liked her when I saw her smile I knew that she was the one. I decided to call her and ask her out on Friday. "Hello?" said her beautiful voice. "Um, Hey it's me. I was just wondering... Do you wanna go out with me to the movies on Friday?" I heard a small scream, then, "I'd love to," she said."Cool." When I hung up I felt like a huge weight had lifted from my chest. Suddenly, I heard my grandfather calling me, and I flitted there at top speed, I was there in a couple seconds. "Koanalu, you need to watch yourself there. If anyone else had caught you, you'd be in deep trouble right now." "Sorry grandfather I was not thinking straight." "It's okay dont worry now. I called you down here to discuss something to you. You might not like it but you are going to have to do this. Listen... You are going to get married to this girl named Scarlett Smith." "What!? I am NOT going to marry someone I have never even met before!" What would Danielle think of me? "Well son your not supposed to like it. It's for the sake of my father. You see, the reason why you and your parents left in the first place, was about this whole deal too. It was because when my father passed, his will stated that he owed alot to his best friend, Graham Smith. But Smith always gave to him he never asked for anything in return. But one day his Smith saved him from drowning, and he felt that the only way to repay him was to wed one of his kids with one of Smith's. You see though you don't want to you have to respect his wishes. If Smith had a daughter in my generation, I would have been happy to oblige. But unfortunatly he only had sons. During your mothers generation, there was a son on Smith's side, named Greg, and your mother was arranged to get married to him. Until then, your mother was dating your father, and they had you. Don't get me wrong I liked your father but I felt like they tried to get out of that marriage by doing that. But now that Greg has a daughter, we want you guys to get married." "Did my parents agree to this?" I asked. " No, but they believe that they hadn't been fair with the Smiths before." I sighed. "Do we reallyhqve to go through with this?" "Yes." Before I left, I heard him tell me, "Their family is human, and they know so just be aware around them. I was really pissed off, so I took my car keys and drove to the one place that could calm me down-- the cemetary. The cemetary was located right next to the bridge, and the old abandoned house, and is right next to the lake. I decided to go by my great grandfathers headstone, and silently ask why he had to do this to me. But then I heard a girl by the lake, skipping stones. I came out into the clearing, and spotted Danielle. 'What is she doing here?' I thought. "Why are you here," I ask. But she still doesn't hear. I walk forward and tap her on the shoulder. Just then she screamed, and opened her eyes recognizing me. "Oh shit Koa! You gave me a Fucking heart attack!" She started catching her breath and I said, "I'm sorry. I saw you over there and called but you didn't hear me. So I tapped you." "Oh it's alright I just need a heads before you scare the shit outta me. Anyways what are you doing here? Are you stalking me or something?." Just then I was close to blushing. Woah seriously? A girl I just met is making me blush. Oh wait she's waiting for my answer. " No, I was just calming myself down, I needed to be alone." "Oh um, do you want me to leave then?" "No you can stay. Wait. Why are you here?" "Drama at home didn't wanna deal eith them." "Oh yeah, right." Then I noticed she had been crying. "Hey Danielle? Are you alright?" She started wiping away her tears, smiled and said, "Yeah why?" "No you are not okay I brought her to me and hugged her. I don't know why but I felt like I needed one too. Somehow it felt good to care about someone, and for them to care about you. When we broke apart, I looked at her in her eyes and told her, " I don't want to see you cry again. When you cry, I'll cry okay." I smiled at her and I didn't notice until our lips were inches apart.
