Hiya!

Ok so the plan was to make this chapter a lot longer, and to include the second day- but time has got away from me and I really wanted to get this bit up.

I love this chapter, please please please let me know if you like/hate it. Phoebes finally realising what she is, and the rash behaviour of vampire kind is beginning to affect her.

The next chapter is going to be REALLY good... we finally hear why William was with the king, and we meet the 'other side' to the war. its going to be one of the most crucial chapters in the book.

please please PLEASE PLEASE comment. I have no idea whether people like it or not! and I really want to get better. And although it wont stop me writing- it might make me stop uploading for a while, because I imeadiately think people HATE it if their not commenting.

Lots of Love.

--------------------------------------CHAPTER 5------------------------------------------------------------

'Arthur, make sure she arrives safely back at her flat, William I expect you to be there when she rises.'

'Yes, your majesty' I heard two muted voices mutter.

I began walking at a normal pace across the large throne room before I heard someone, who I knew was Arthur shouting my name behind me.

I turned to look at him, his broad chest, not as broad as my brothers but not small enough to give the impression of someone as tall as him as being lanky was at my eye level. I was shocked, although I knew I shouldn't have been, at his quick close proximity. I fluttered my eyes up to his which were gazing at me in shockingly warm expression.

'I am to see you home safely Miss Lorre, and after tonight I hope to see a lot more of you'.

I felt my blood start to form a blush across my cheeks, hearing the hidden meaning in his words and his sweet, staggered breath. He, noticing the rise of blood to my cheeks, swept a light finger across one of them and tucked some of my hair behind my ear. This was MENTAL. Here I was, stupidly turned on by someone muttering a few choice words and a passing touch, after being so affronted when we met little over half an hour ago. As if he knew this he lightly bit down onto his bottom lip and sighed as he removed his hand from behind my ear.

'I don't need your help, I am pretty sure I'm more resilient than anything I'd meet out at this time of the morning' I said sarcastically; wanting firstly to cover up my growing embarrassment, and secondly to assert some fragment of my former independence.

'It's orders Phoebe, and anyway, the sun comes up in just over an hour- trust me, you don't want to be out for that'. He said rolling his eyes and smiling condescendingly at me. Go to hell I thought, I was legally an adult- I think I can make it to my parents flat alone- but a part of me didn't want to be up when the sun came out... you know... just in case. 'Fine' I mumbled.

We were back to his car within a minute, but this time I was securely buckled into the passenger seat. As we drove- I didn't bother to give directions, he seemed to know the way- instead I looked out of the window as Arthur tried to cover the awkward silence which had settled over us.

'Are you Ok? I mean... It's tough I know- I remember when I was told. God... worst day of my life. But its gets better, and if you think about it- it's kind of neat...it weird about you not being thirsty though' he laughed 'all I can remember for the first night of my awakening is running around drinking gallons of water and wondering why I was still thirsty. Until this man walked out of his office to have a cigarette- but... but I'm sure you don't want to hear about that yet. Not until you've sorted yourself out....' he trailed off and shot me a sheepish smile 'I know you don't understand why you can't tell anyone Phoebe, but trust me, the less people know the happier they are...I didn't believe them either until' he stopped abruptly, clenched his jaw and with eyes swimming with tears muttered 'We're here'.
