I love my room. A light lavender color with Christmas lights hung on the ceiling, and my favorite vintage posters from my great-great-grandma. I have a fairly large closet (filled with shirts and the occasional dress), a beautiful corner desk with shelves and a drawer that pulls out from under the shelf, and I have a comfy desk chair that I don't mind sitting in for hours watching cartoons and tv on my old laptop. I also have a queen-sized bed with all of my favorite pillows on it, and of course my stuffed bear I've had for a long time.

As I do my homework I get a ping on my phone, a notification from the phone book app? I go on my phone and check the notification. The words "one new message" appear and I'm a little confused.
Unknown: Hi, I got your number from Lio, and I was wondering if you're okay after your fall this morning?
Oh, it's the boy who helped me? That's strange, but in a good way.
Me: I'm okay, thank you. I appreciate the help I got, not a lot of people would do that.
Me: I never got your name?
At least now I'll get his name after all day of not knowing.
Unknown: It's Jacob, and it's not a problem, are your glasses broken?
Jacob? That's an old name, I haven't heard it in kids my age, only in the adults or older people.
Me: No, they're okay thank you :)
I quickly add Jacob into my contacts and the next message comes up in my messages instead of in the phone book.
Jacob: of course :) I'm glad you're okay
Me: thank you, I am too lol
We texted for about an hour on and off while I was finishing up the last of my assignments, when I get an interesting message from him.
Jacob: hey, did you feel a weird, fuzzy electric feeling when I gave you your stuff back?
Me: ...no, why??
Jacob: oh, just wondering. Hey I was wondering if I could properly introduce myself tomorrow in the library?
Me: Sure, I wouldn't mind that :)
Jacob: sweet! Thanks! I'll see you tomorrow :)
Man! I can't believe it! I have a date! Well, okay, maybe not a date but I get to actually meet the kid who saved me.
"Xion! Dinner time! Come out and get some food!" I heard my mom holler from the kitchen.
"Coming!" I walked to the kitchen and peeked at what was for dinner. It was my favorite, mac and cheese, broccoli and cauliflower, Cesar salad (from the grocery store but who cares? It's awesome!) and for the rest of the family—did I tell you I was vegetarian? No? Oh, well I am—steak, now, our kitchen was fairly large with the counter separating the living room, but with about seven of us, that fairly large kitchen turns into a fairly small kitchen in about ten seconds.
Dinner was pretty boring, the occasional conversation between my parents and I are few and far between while my younger sisters Ann and Rose, have no issue talking as if they were the only people in the house, and my brothers, Daniel and Damon, not-so-subtly throw small bits of food at each other. "Guys, calm it down!" I hear my dad John, and my mom, Lynn, almost yell simultaneously. I quietly snicker until I hear the front door open, I get up and walk to the front door and see Lio walking in with his honorary house key, given to him by my dad.
"Hey Lio!" I said cheerfully as I put my food on the side table and hug him.
"Hey girl! Is it okay if I stay for a few hours? My parents are acting crazy again." He asked hopefully.
"Of course! Just go ask mom and dad and come get dinner," I say warmly, knowing my parents, they'll let him sleep here if he needs it. Lio's family is...not extremely accepting of him. So when things go cold, he jut has to walk over and we'll welcome him with open arms.
