*I was running. Running far and fast. Why I was running, I had no idea. My legs just wouldn't stop moving! I looked at my surroundings nervously. I had a feeling I knew exactly where I was headed.

Quickly, I was approaching a giant black mansion with windows that glowed in pink lights.

The place I hated the most.

The place I feared the most.

The place I'd see him again.

I ran inside of the mansion and my legs came to a stop as soon as I was inside. I tried to move them, but it was no use.

I was stuck in this horrible place.

"H-hello?!" my voice cracked in fear.

I heard mischievous giggling from all around the mansion. I shivered in fear of what was going to happen next.

"Master wants to see you~" someone sang out.

"Master wants to kill you~" someone else sang out.

"Master's going to get his revenge soon~" another voice sang along.

"Master can't wait to get his hands on you~" sang another.

"Master's gonna take you down memory lane~" another.

"Master's going to kill you~" another one.

"In three days~" every voice sang together in harmony.

"Wh-what's g-going on?!" I cried out.

There was more giggling until six pink ghosts with yellow hearts in their center revealed themselves. They each gave me a haunting look...except for a shy-looking one.

"H-hey, what a-are you d-doing?" I asked.

"Bringing you to our Master~" sang the leader.

"B-b-but...it hasn't b-been three d-days," I trembled and tried to move backwards, but my legs wouldn't move.

"Master just wants to see you...for now~" sang the one on the right of the leader.

I should really learn their names.

"Arthur, welcome back to my mansion," a familiar, ghostly voice boomed throughout the mansion.

The little ghosts got excited, the shy one only smiled a little. 'Hmm...make a note of that. Maybe I can talk to that one later.'

"Did you miss it?" the voice boomed closer.

"Eh, i-it's a n-nice mansion," I shrugged. "J-just wish there w-w-wasn't a v-vengeful ghost r-residing here."

I heard him growl, I ticked him off.

"Well, that wouldn't have happened without your help, Arthur!" Lewis yelled and revealed himself shortly after.

His hair was more flamey than hair-like. I flinched. The ghosts giggled and flew around Lewis.

"Isn't our Master the best~" sang the leader.

"I absolutely adore our Master~" sang another.

"Thank you, thank you, I try my best," he pet his ghosts.

"Wh-what are those?" I asked curiously. "Wh-why do you c-care s-so much about them?"

"Well, these are my Deadbeats," Lewis explained. "They are very valuable to me. If I lose them...wait, why am I telling you this?!"

I gulped and started sweating. "I-It's p-pr-probably because...we were b-best friends o-once, and y-you'd tell me e-everything."

"Hmph," Lewis pat his other Deadbeats before floating toward me and pointing a finger right at my face. "Don't try to make me feel sorry for you."

I gulped again and nodded. Lewis lifted his head as if he were smirking proudly and floated away. "I don't have time for you. Key, Tempo, Lyra, with me. The rest of you, stay here and do whatever you want."

"Yes, Master~" they called and the Deadbeats followed their orders.

The remaining Deadbeats smiled at me mischievously, well, except the shy one.

"So, uh...wh-what are your n-names?" I asked carefully. I didn't want to set them off.

"I'm Reed, this is Solo, and the shy one's Aria," smirked the leader.

"Wh-what're you g-gonna do to me?"

"Nothing...yet," snickered Solo.

"H-hey, Aria, right?" I called. When the shy one nodded a little, I continued. "Can I t-talk to you?"

"Well...I guess it's okay, but...why me?" she asked shyly.

This must be Lewis' shy side. Maybe each of the Deadbeats represented a part of Lewis. I'll ask her.

"So, um...if I ask you a f-few questions, will you answer th-them?" I asked totally forgetting she asked a question.

"Uh...I'll try my best."

"Thank you. Aria," I smiled at her. "So, um, what are you e-exactly?"

"I'm what Master calls a Deadbeat," she replied. "We all are Deadbeats. Um...however, each of us are different. We are based on Master's personality when he was...alive."

"S-so...you're the s-shy part of Lewis?" I asked.

"W-well...yeah, you could say that. I'm also almost like his conscience as well, the one who doubts his actions. Reed is the confidence part of Master, Solo is the unpredictable part, Key is the optimistic part, Tempo is the cold and self-determined part, and Lyra is the self-centered and strong-willed part of Master."

"O-oh...I-I see, so...you're t-the part of L-Lewis who probably t-tried to t-talk him out o-of his r-revenge?"

"Well...I'm the one that will talk to you and answer your questions," she replied. "I also tried to reason with him, give him doubt that perhaps you didn't mean it-"

"I d-didn't mean it! I-I really didn't w-want any o-of this t-t-to happen! I-I was p-possessed!" I interrupted.

"I-I...I-I..." Aria started to tear up, and I realized that I just snapped at her.

"No, Aria...I-I'm sorry, I didn't m-mean to snap at you," I said gently. "I'm just fr-frustrated. A-are you o-okay?"

Aria looked up at me and I tried to wipe her tears, but my hand went right through her, although it did make her laugh.

"T-take your haha hand out," she giggled and squirmed.

Was I...tickling her? I removed my hand and she smiled at me. At least I got her to smile at me.

"S-sorry," I blushed embarrassed.

"It's okay...I'm sorry for flipping out like that...I'm pretty sensitive too," Aria wiped her own tears.

"You h-h-have nothing t-t-to apologize for." I rubbed my hair. "I have m-more qu-questions, i-i-is that a-alright?"

"That's fine," Aria smiled.*

I know, I know, this part was bland and posted late just like all the other chapters were. I totally forgot it was Wednesday and as I was listening to my piano version of 'Ghost', I remembered to post this today. Sorry. I promise, this story will get interesting if you guys don't think it is already. There's so much more that I have in store! You'll see! Anyway, I'm gonna leave it here. Make sure to leave vote/comment if you happened to enjoy this chapter. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry in the corner because of what happened in One Piece. All I'm gonna say about this part of the anime is "Poor, Luffy." I'll probably make a one-shot pertaining to that episode, idk yet. Okay, that is all! Bye guys!
