*I was in the mansion again. No one was there from what I could see. No one was there to greet me, in fact, the mansion looked different as well. It seemed faded and the atmosphere made me feel depressed.

"Do you feel it, Arthur?" asked the voice of Lewis. "That's me. That's how I feel."

"D-depressed?" I asked.

"And it's your fault!"

"Master, don't be sad!~" a rambunctious voice sang. That one was Solo.

"Don't let that traitor get to you, Master~" sang another voice that sounded very upset. Maybe that one was the cold one...Tempo.

"Just think, you'll be able to kill him in two days, Master~" sang a cheerful voice. Definitely the optimistic one, Key.

"Yeah...you guys are right," Lewis said with confidence back. The room began to light up again. "Sorry, it's just...I don't know why, but...Vivi's just in my mind tonight."

"I-If you're w-worried a-about her, she's d-doing fine," I shrugged. "She doesn't r-r-remember you, remember? Y-you t-took her memories."

"It's not just her, it's the rest of my family too. I miss them, Arthur. I miss them so much!" Lewis cried and the mansion's color faded again.

"I v-visited them today. Th-they m-miss you too and l-love you," I informed him.

Lewis appeared to me, not in skeleton form, but human form, well...as close as he could get to human form. Tears were falling out of his eyes.

"Dude-"

"Arthur...this won't change your fate, but...I really need a shoulder to cry on and-"

I opened my arms with a smile. "It's o-okay. Come here."

Lewis looked at me in shock, but walked toward me regardless and hugged me. He lay his head on my shoulder and cried his eye sockets out. I rubbed his back reassuring to him that everything was going to be okay.

It was like this for what felt like an eternity, but it was like ten minutes before he stopped crying and left the hug.

"Y-you okay, Lew?" I asked.

He nodded and sniffled. "Thanks...I'm still going to kill you though."

"I d-deserve it."

Lewis left the room after that and shortly the room's color returned. The Deadbeats were in the room with me shortly after as well.

"Well, look at you, making Master feel better," said one who kinda sparkled. I guessed that one's Lyra.

"It's not going to help," said Reed confidently.

"A-Aria?" I called.

"Oh, hey, Arthur..." she replied quietly.

"I need your h-help. I h-have an idea I-I'd like to t-try out."

"O-Okay, what is it?"

"If I-I can g-get the other D-Deadbeats to change their m-minds-"

"I don't think that's going to work, Arthur..." Aria shied away.

"R-really?"

"I don't think you can get them all to change their minds, maybe only a few."

"All I n-need is at least h-half of them t-to believe m-me."

"Your best bets are Key and maybe Solo?"

"W-will you help me?"

"O-okay, but what can I do?"

"Just st-stand by me and h-help me t-talk them i-into this," I smiled at her. "Don't worry, y-you'll do fine."

I poked her in the side and she giggled. "Hehe, st-stop that."

I smiled and removed my finger. "Hey, can I t-talk to Key a-and Solo?"

"Nothing you say to us will make us change our mind," Solo laughed.

"Let's at least hear him out," Key smiled.

We would totally win over Key in no time at all.

"Thank y-you, Key, for your o-optimism," I winked. "Anyway, let me j-just say that...I d-didn't mean to push h-him down. I-"

"Oh, so you say it was an accident? How could you accidentally push someone off of a cliff?" Solo interrupted with accusations.

"Let him finish," Aria told him.

"I was possessed b-by a demon-"

"A demon!?" Key squealed.

"Yeah right," Solo crossed his little arms, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

"Think a-about it! Th-that day we were s-searching for a demon in the c-cave. It p-possessed my a-arm and m-made me push him off," I told them.

"I dunno, anyone could say that and be lying," Solo smirked.

"I was L-Lewis' best friend s-since forever. D-do you r-really think I'd w-wanna kill him?"

"You've got a point, but...you've always had that crush on Vivi, haven't you?" Key pointed out.

"I'll a-admit, I was j-jealous of L-Lew. He w-was so much b-better at so m-many things than I w-was, but I w-would n-never k-kill h-him for i-it. I'm Arthur, the m-most cowardly p-person in the entire w-world. I-I'd be w-way too scared to k-kill someone."

Key and Solo looked at each other. Did I get through to them?

"Besides, he knows that Master's going to kill him, yet Arthur still let Master cry on his shoulder," Aria included.

I smiled at her.

"Fine, your story seems true enough," Key said.

"Yeah, I don't know why Master would think you'd do this on purpose," Solo agreed.

I smiled and looked at Aria, who was smiling back at me.

"Th-thank you, thank y-you for believing m-me!" I rejoiced.

"You actually might have a chance of convincing Master that what you're saying is true!" Aria cheered with me.

There was actually hope, but somehow I still felt that something would go wrong...*
