Dietrick
"Yeah, I love Justice, but she workin' my fuckin' nerves all the damn time"
Switch switched my cigarettes for a few blacks.
I sat out on the porch, still in uniform.
The top was just pulled down, hanging from my waist.
Switch smiled in my face with her pretty ass teeth. "You aint cut out for a relationship"
"I am. Justice just don't do shit right"
"You're probably to blame too, D"
"She always pick with, and fuck with me" I stood up to walk to the store. "And don't know how to fuck"
I had a perfectly fine car, but I liked walking.
I let Switch play in my hair as we walked to the store.
I bought her a few things too, and we were on our way back.
"You getting bigger" She felt on my muscles.
"Mhm"
"I want you to go to a club with me" She put her hand on my belt.
"When?"
"Tonight"
"I don't know. Justice-"
"Mad ass Justice? Who don't even appreciate you?"
I thought about it. "She does. Sometimes"
"Well I appreciate you all the time, handsome. Don't leave me hangin', Trick daddy"
"Imma see what I can do"
-
Candy grinded on my lap.As soon as Switch left, she made her way to me.
"Somebody's gotta keep you hard, right?" Candy asked.
I nodded and looked around. I squinted at a crowd and saw Justice walking through this here club.
I pushed Candy back, and followed in hot pursuit.
Justice had gotten herself busy.
This was a childish ass game.
She had found her a nigga to talk to.
They ain't call me Trick daddy for nothin'.
"Dietrick" Evelyn turned and danced on me.
"Hell no, he came with me" Switch intervened, and pushed Ev back.
"Okay, but who is he leaving with?" Evelyn turned towards me.
Shit, everybody.
Gather round, gather round now.
I felt around my pockets. "I'm leaving with whoever-"
A couple gunshots went off.
"Fuck, where's Justice!"
People kept running into me, and one of them happened to be her.
I yanked her all the way into my car, and drove off.
"Um, hello?" Justice asked after ten minutes of silence.
I looked straight ahead. "Keep yo ass at home"
"What is...Goddammit, Dietrick!" She yelled, and yanked some cocaine out of my pocket.
"You had your lil look. Now put it back where you got it"
"Dietrick, why would you mess-"
"Put the fuckin' shit back. You don't fuck with no drugs, Justice. Put. It. Back."
She turned away from me, and threw the bag.
It landed in my lap.
I shoved it back in my pocket, and drove a little faster, just tryna get home.
When I got there, Justice was asleep in the passenger's seat.
I lifted her up, and closed the door with my knee before heading up the steps.
I locked the car doors before unlocking the door to the house.
All the lights were off, but I knew my way around.
I felt Justice's fingers pull at the collar of my shirt.
She was trying to distract herself.
"Dietrick, you'll get hurt"
"I'm just a bum. Who cares?"
I sat her down on the bed before taking off my clothes, and stashing the drugs.
I climbed into bed myself, and Justice crawled up to me. "You're not a bum. Please?"
I shook my head. "Too late"
She hugged me. "Dietrick, please?"
I kissed her forehead. "I can be careful"
"I don't want careful. You don't have to sell. I got it and - and. . ."
"I done this before. Goodnight, Justice"
"I love you" She pulled at the hairs on my stomach.
"I love you too, J. Soft ass"
