"Lazarus, its chilly out here." Kay complained, feeling the wind pierce her skin.
He sighed, "You wanted to come out here, though."
"Well I want to leave, now." She stated while crossing her arms, trying to keep the wind from destroying her hair.
Laz was beginning to get fed up with Kay. He tried to get rid of her after the last time they'd seen each other, but she wasn't having it. When Laz brought up space and breaks, she acted as if she had no idea what the terms meant.
She asked him things like "What do you mean by 'we need to take a break'?" and "Why do you need space?"
Laz didn't know how to get rid of her, so he figured he'd play along for now; the plan was to eventually avoid Kay until she got the memo because talking like civilized adults was not working.
This would definitely be the last time he took her out.
"Where do you want to go?" Laz asked her, trying to hide the annoyance in his voice.
"Can we get food? I'm a bit hungry."
Laz nodded and began walking toward the boardwalk exit, leaving Kay in the process.
She pouted as she walked behind him. She was expecting him to hold her hand like they used to do.
Laz had already made it inside his car with his seatbelt on by the time Kay caught up with him.
She got into the car, making sure to slam the door in the process.
Crossing her arms, she eyed Laz.
"What?"
"You could've waited for me, damn."
He sighed, not feeling the least bit remorseful. He was beyond ready to get this date over with and go do him.
He ignored her and her efforts to get on his bad side, and decided to remain calm so he could get the evening over with.
"I'm sorry." He apologized dryly.
"You can make up for it later." She smiled sneakily, an antic already planning itself in her twisted mind.
"Alright." He mumbled to himself, putting the car in drive so they could leave the shore.
He drove in the direction of a restaurant that was close by so he wouldn't have to stay in the car with Kay for long.
Somehow, she'd managed to fall asleep in the span of 15 minutes. Laz rolled his eyes.
"Wake up." He shook her, not caring that she'd almost bumped her head on the window.
She looked up to see where they were, feeling her stomach growl.
